2 dogs are better than 1
I bought this about a week ago because I am taking my 1 year old Pointer mix on a hiking trip at the end of the month. I wanted to be able to shoot photos while we are in the mountains so I was looking for hands-free. After reading reviews for tons of these, I went with this one!The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish the padded part of the belt loop stayed against my back. Since the hooks to attach the leash are on the sides, when she pulls the belt spins around my waist and the padded part is basically along my side. This one would be absolutely ideal for walking two dogs - then the belt wouldn't spin! (So basically I should get another dog...)Otherwise I really love it. The bungee aspect is awesome - that's actually what I was searching for. It's definitely shock resistant for when she pulls me in all directions - every sniff is important!Would recommend. This makes me want to get another pupper.

Good Quality for the price
Love this for my dog. I don't really use it for running since I have a 13 lb dog who is 10 years old and would rather be carried, but I like to use it for our morning walks so I can still be hands free. I wish they made one more for smaller pups with more lightweight hardware since it can be kinda bulky, but if its made for bigger dogs to run with what can you do? I love the amount of options for adjustment for this leash. You definitely can lengthen the leash if need be and the waist belt, too. I am 4'11 and petite but I can adjust it easily enough that it's snug and not too loose. You can adjust the belt on both sides, so you can definitely loosen it up way more to fit a bigger waist, or if you're wearing bulkier clothing, or if you want to wear the belt cross-body rather than around the waist. The neoprene lining is a nice touch, no chafing!

Physical therapist recommended
I'll give a final rating in a month. Had the leash shipped to my daughter in another state; will see her then when we pick the dog up for the summer. Am giving the high rating now in case I forget to get back to this --- bought it because my physical therapist has one and strongly recommended it for my/my husband's back. "Libby" is not a particularly large dog but if we're walking her and she sees a squirrel, she loses it and takes off like a rocket. A 'sensitive' back can easily be set off by the resulting 'jerk' on a regular leash. The PT says this leash has solved that problem for herself and other people --- her only caution is to make sure the leash is placed properly --- lower toward the hips rather than up right at the waist -- the latter placement will tend to 'ride up' and apparently defeats the purpose. If life doesn't get crazy and I remember, I'll get back to report after I've actually used the thing! Hope this helps.

I can state with certainty that both the pup and I are very happy with the change
This hands-free leash has vastly improved walks with my chihuahua! I have hip and lower back instability, and in spite of being a small dog, Brinda always pulled amazingly hard when we were out walking. Before changing to the new leash, this jerking and pulling often led to re-injury and extra visits to my chiropractor. Now that we've walked a few times with the Treat4Pet leash a few times, I can state with certainty that both the pup and I are very happy with the change: I do hold the leash loosely so I can still guide my dog when needed, but her pulling no longer destabilizes me. Also, she's grown used to the shorter leash, and training her to heel is going much better--an unexpected bonus! Now I really look forward to our walks! Thank you, Treat4Pet, for a beautifully crafted, effective leash that is easy as pie to adjust to my waist, no matter how many layers of clothing I'm wearing! I'm a convert, and this leash should serve for many years to come!!!

LOVE THIS LEASH!!!
I really love this leash. It is well made with durable construction. I use it several times a week to walk a 55 lb AmStaff over 4 miles at a time. He is a serious puller. With a regular leash, I often felt like my arm was being dislocated at the shoulder. This cured that. He still pulls, but because of the waist belt, this leash takes the stress off of my arm. And the elastic bungee feature gives me more control. The lime green and gray colors are very pretty. This is a great buy for the price. Update: I paid $11.99 in 2018. It is a very good leash, but not for the $46.99 price currently listed. I found a leash from another seller that is just as wonderful as this one for a price comparable to the $11.99 I originally paid.

Great for running with my dog
I go trail running with my dog and I wanted a hands free leash. I bought this one and it is comfortable and seems very durable. My dog gets very excited when she sees squirrels and other dogs so she will pull on the leash. The bungee leash absorbs most of the impact so I hardly feel her pull and I don't get pulled from side to side. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is when the leash is at it's longest length, the metal loop that you can use to shorten the leash hits my knee repeatedly if there is some slack. To prevent this, I shorten up the leash a little and it doesn't happen.

The leash adjusts lengths.
Love that leash has adjustable length. The waist belt also can be adjusted to great extent. I needed to cut ends off of waist belt due to two flaps that were hanging past knees. Also ideally it is nice to have the neoprene on the belt. But if dog runs in front or goes behind to other side. The short area of neoprene just rotates around and doesn’t really serve purpose of cushioning back and becomes cumbersome. May switch back to an old waist belt that is designed differently and use that belt with this much better designed bungee leash.

Excellent running leash!
Excellent running leash! I've been running with my 65 lb lab/border collie mix and a traditional leash is cumbersome at best. This lest me have my hands free (when it's cold this is awesome) to run like a normal person and keeps my dog close by. The elastic lets him vary his spacing from me without being jerked around when our pace varies. If you're a runner and you dog is as well, I'd go with this. Once I opened it, I put on the dog and myself, I walked him around the house to get used to it and then around outside for about 10 minutes. After that he knew what it was and goes crazy when I get this particular leash out.
