easy, informative
Simple, easy, informative. It is what you can expect from a 'for DUMMIES' book. It isn't for the tech savvy but the people who need to have the information in an easy to digest and put to use format. I use it but I have books that are more technical that better suit me. This however says less about the book and more about my 25 years in technology. GET THIS IF YOU NEED USEFUL INFORMATION THAT ISN'T WRITTEN FOR SOMEONE WITH 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN TECHNOLOGY OR MARKETING!

If you use social media in any way, you need this book
I bought two copies of this book - one for me and one for a friend who is active in social media. Facebook, Twitter, and all the others used to be just fun, then they became important to us professionally, and now that we are "hooked," they are potentially damaging, too. As Lori says, your identity is being bought and sold, and it can be damaged, tarnished, or even hijacked. I have no intention of giving up being online. It's integral to my professional life and my social life. So I'm using this book as a guideline for how to protect my reputation and my personal information. It's easy to read and provides complete instructions. Oh, and there are some really good stories, too.

Well researched, well thought out and well written.
I'm in the reputation marketing business, and I learned a lot from this book. This book is jam packed with useful, relevant and up to date information that's practical and brings immediate value to the reader. I implemented some of the strategies within minutes of reading it and saw results. Well worth reading if you're interested in reputation marketing and management, highly recommended.

This book is for SEO beginners
Honestly, I was expecting more from the book's summary. It's not that the book's information is irrelevant, it's just not enough meaty information. For the most part, the book explains fundamentals of SEO and reputation management well. However, if you're someone who is dealing with a more complex issue relating to content syndication, inbound link-getting, etc. this book may be too "lightweight" for your needs.

Online Reputation Management for Dummies ~ a MUST for the wise!
Anyone serious about their online identity or online reputation management, take note! Author Lori Randall Stradtman has given you exactly what you need in "Online Reputation Management for Dummies." The more I study this book, the more I'm amazed over how clearly she shows me how to [easily] manage a wide scope of Internet issues I'd always avoided lest I boggle my brain or burn far too many online hours--including guarding against personal and social media identity theft, online crisis management, and laying stake to your brand online...plus resources and tools for monitoring your social influence. I now see my mistake! Buying this book was a savvy investment because ALL my online projects can benefit from learning and practicing the skills it imparts (plus embracing the author's Internet philosophy)! Entrepreneurs, authors, lifestyle coaches...anyone who cares about their online name and presence should definitely consider benefiting from Lori Stradtman's considerable expertise.

Still as relevant in 2018 as it was the day it was published.
I started teaching as a “professor of practice” in 2016. I was assigned to teach a course in digital public relations. There was no textbook specified for the course, nor had I ever identified a “manual” to handle the various aspects of establishing, managing and protecting online reputation in my professional life. I don’t recall how I discovered this book, but just a quick scan of the introduction and I was SOLD. I still use it as my only textbook and I teach multiple sections each semester. I have tried to talk Ms. Stradtman into publishing a new version, but in today’s current environment, sticking to basics is the best approach. I tell my students if I had written a book, it would be this one. It is even more relevant today than ever. Stradtman readily admits that the tools may change, but the approach to ORM really should not. True. So true.

An Informative Guide for Modern Businesses Both Large and Small
Nowadays, anything anyone writes about you on a website or social network (like Facebook) can spread quickly to thousands or millions of people around the world. If you unintentionally make someone mad, your reputation on this global community can be ruined within days: people might boycott your business or refuse to be friends with you - all because one person didn't like you. This is a well-written book addressing issues that are likely to affect both private persons and businesses in the internet age. As a small business owner, I recommend it to other individuals or businesses who have any presence on the internet. The author covers a range of important topics and suggests management strategies using easily available online tools. Everything is explained in clear and simple English so you don't need to be computer savvy to understand this book.

Poor Quality
The book was really dirty, spots everywhere. Looked as if I have purchased it from the red light. I request amazon not to degrade its quality.
