Well made
This has good solid construction, and is a good size. Like the feeder I was replacing, however, it is suspended by cord which over time breaks down and, well, breaks. I am replacing the cord with lightweight chain. The only other thing I don't like, which is not so easy to fix, is that the perforations in the metal screen are large enough that millet, niger, etc can fall right through; my former feeder had the same type of screen but with smaller holes so this wasn't a problem. Overall, though, I'm happy with it.

Real Cool for Birds
I feed peacocks in my front yard so ordered 2 of these because of the mesh bottom, it won't hold water and ruin the seed or corn. I did purchase hangers for them and they do the job well feeding multiple birds and even holds a squirrel like he's riding on a swing! They are not that attractive in my front yard though so will move them to the backyard and find something more eye appealing for my front yard. But it does the job it was meant to do, feed critters and it has been very sterdy, had it for 4 monhs now and looks in the same condition as when I bought them.

Delivered broken and looks cheap.
Just opened the box and it is broken! I bought this because everyone said how sturdy it was and it looks so flimsy in person. I had to double check I bought the good tray because it broke so easy. As you can see from the image the piece of wood covering the metal mesh just plum fell out in transit. I am looking at it now and have no idea how it stays in. I don't see nail holes or glue. Could someone have just tossed an unfinished one in a box? Returning tomorrow.P.S. I also had to add that the mesh holes are way too big as well. Millet, thistle seed, etc. would fall right through.

tray feeder
Bought this in August 2013 and its now April 2014. I bought two of these and neither one held up for a year. Last month both started rotting and one of them the bottom tray fell out. The other one, the rope broke. Not worth the money. Was really dissappointed. It worked before it started rotting and falling apart in just a little od 6-months!!!

seed falls through
im not really sure how to review this item. I really like the bird feeder. its perfect for what I want. but the birds wont go near it! my neighbor has one similar and the birds love it. im not sure what Is going on. I really love the size of it. thin rope is what the tray hangs from. which I actually kinda like. maybe the birds don't! one thing I don't like is that the holes in the tray allow for a lot of my seed to fall through. so that's pretty inconvenient. I feel like the price is too much since I will likely have to get a seed catcher to go below it. I do fear that if my birds don't start coming to it I will have to return it and that makes me sad. I really do like it. holds way more than enough seed. my scoop is 2 cups and it barely made a dent in the tray. so you could easily get 8 cups of seed in there if you needed.UPDATE!! I am pleased to say that my birds have now gotten used to it. makes me so happy. I guess they just needed to get used to it. still my only complaint is that the seed falls through the holes so I will still need to get another seed catcher tray. but for now this is enough and will make me happy

Awesome durable and attractive bird feeder!
This is a great large tray feeder and the customer service the maker of this product provides is top notch. My Cardinals love this tray and do not feel crowded even with other birds there with them
