dragon's delight-doble dragon 5 snes
let me let everyone know about the good&the bad i liked about the game 1.the grafics are great. 2.good desent roster of charecters 3.easy controls. 4.great sound. i dont know why this game gets no love ok so its got cartoon like grafics&its not final fight quality standerds so why does every game have to be a capcom game to be a awesome game? ok the bad 1.the quest mode is the same as the arcade mode-solo aventure mode 2. bosseir mode a desciptor of the game fightors? 3.the game demo? all that stuff added in felt like filler fluff not nessary thats about what i think is lame¬ that cool minor stuff should you get this game if you like underrated sleeper snes fighting games or weird snes games i say its a good choice if you like other snes games like street fighter-final fight etc this may not be a good time investment for you it least its not shaq-fu!!!

I thought this was like the original double dragon but its not
I thought this was like the original double dragon but its not. This is the tournament fighting game. Similar to street fighter except that it is not awesome like street fighter! Do not get this if you are looking for the original double dragon game where all you do is walk through stages and fight bosses.

Not as good as Super Street Fighter II Turbo. However . . .
Street Fighter rip-offs seem to get a bad rep: video games like Fatal Fury, Fighters History, Kat Fight, and TMNT Tournament Fighters have gotten mostly bad reviews , this being one of them.Double Dragon 5 is essentially a tournament fighting game based on a short-lived cartoon series that aired around the early-to-mid 1990's. I guess you could say it's a game based on a cartoon based on a game. The animation is a bit shabby and the moves are not very easy to pull off. I really don't know what else to write about this game.Street Fighter 2 set the bar at a level few fighting games were able to reach - notable exceptions include Mortal Kombat 1&2 and the Japanese Super Famicom Dragon Ball Z series. As a result, more recent fighting games such as Eternal Champions and Double Dragon V have become underrated.

Another 1 on 1 battle game
i should of done research on this game before I had bought it. It's a battle game between you and another opponent like in mortal combat. This game sucks straight up and there's nothing special about it.

Sucks and blows --- there are better SF2 rip-offs out there!
Bought a used copy of this at a videogame store years back, mistaking it for Super Double Dragon (I'd forgotten that one's name!). I agree with most of the other reviews that it sucks. So not only was I disappointed that it wasn't Super DD, but I was also disappointed that the game it WAS, was so crappy. This was not a "classic-style" DD game, but yet another one-on-one-fighter ala Street Fighter II --- but without the fun of that game or any of the other great many clones thereof. It had characters who were unfamiliar unless you watched that short-lived DD cartoon that was being shown at the time of its release --- which I personally never watched. When I first played the game, I was like, "Who the **** are these guys?!" I didn't find out until years later that the game was based on the cartoon.I could maybe have accepted the unfamiliar characters if the game had been easier and more fun to play. Mashing on the buttons is about all you do when you play this, and it gets tiresome quickly. Anything about the game that might actually be positive is trumped by the terrible gameplay. If they had to do a DD-based Street Fighter II rip-off, I think it would have been much cooler if they had used only characters from the previous games --- and if the game had been fun to play, of course. The closest thing, as far as I know, to a one-on-one DD game with original DD characters is the "versus" mode on the original NES DD.There are better SF2 rip-offs out there. This one totally blows --- and that's something I wouldn't say about most other fighting games I've played, as I usually enjoy fighting games!
