Digitally re-mastered digipak edition includes bonus tracks. 2001 release, the third album from the Swedish melodic Death Metal band. This was the last album to feature Carlos Del Olmo Holmberg on keyboards. A Predator's Portrait is considered by many to be the band's finest hour and was the album that set them apart from other Swedish Death Metal bands. The album was recorded at the same studio and at the same time that Opeth recorded their album Blackwater Park.

Soilwork : "A Predator's Portrait"
This is extremely impressive. This sounds almost identical to At the Gates classic masterpiece "Slaught Of The Soul". This could even be better than "SOTS". I'm serious, you will not find anything closer to Death Metal bliss as this....It's very melodic, it's very heavy, and the crystal clear production here makes this sound incredible. This a must buy for any fan of At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Opeth, In Flames, Carcass, Entombed, or even Iron Maiden. If you love quality Metal, you'll certainly hold this materpiece with high regard....I had never even heard Soilwork, and was afraid this would be too "Nu Metal". It's not. This is pure brutality that is flawlessly executed....

I didn't discover Soilwork until Figure Number Five. I liked it so much that I went back into their history and discovered I loved them more! The first 3 albums are very intense and powerful! Predator's Portait is a must have!

Great album
Best soil work album period. Less melodic but great riffs and extremely aggressive. They even released a deluxe edition recently; so they must have felt it was one of their best albums as well.

Found these guys the same day I found In Flames. I'm not quite as blown away, but will still be picking up more of their stuff. Swede Metal!

Se Stabbing the Drama può essere considerato l'album dove tutto il corpus sperimentale dei Soilwork giunge a definitiva maturità, questo in oggetto è sicuramente quello della svolta , dopo i primi due (di cui ora purtroppo mi sfuggono i titoli) che uscirono alla fine degli anni 90 e inizi del 2000, immediatamente precedenti ad "A Predator's Portrait" che ha visto la luce nel 2001. Ritengo questo album tra i migliori dei Soilwork proprio perchè la vena sperimentale era ancora relativamente lieve e latente e pur mostrando quindi una notevole vena innovativa non vi era sacrificio nelle sfuriate rapide e violente di cui questa band è capace. A mio avviso disco imperdibile

WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!
I can't stop listening to it. Brutal, yet melodic. Catchy choruses. Great tracks that flow nicely from one to the other. In less than 24 hours Neurotic Rampage made into my 25 most played playlist in iTunes and I I do listen to my music a lot.This album prompted me to buy all other albums from the band. I want more!
