Great taste. Probably one of the best
I'm from Korea where this black garlic is already a huge business and I think black garlic itself is probably originated from Korea. Naturally, I've tasted and tried a lot of those back home and I found this product can be rated to be excellent even with the highest standard.It is moderately juicy and very soft which means the 'fermentation'(actually it's not real fermentation but...) process took quite a long time, probably more than 60 days. So the taste is excellent and gives you very subtle nuance.One catch is that the actual container is different from that is shown in the picture. It comes with a crappy plastic container that is prone to crack. I recommend you move the content to a glass jar or something.

Great Garlic, Terrible Containers
This garlic is a wonderful product. Unfortunately the packaging is not of good quality. I have seen complaints about the poor packaging many times for this product and find it unfortunate it the company does not address this situation. That being said, give this garlic a try but repack it when it arrives. The claims it has a 2 year refrigeration life is false if not repacked. I learned this after stocking up and not repacking the garlic. It dried up in the original shipped containers. To be clear, only one container suffered as the other three I had no problems with freshness. All were stored in the same climate controlled refrigerator on the same shelf. I contacted the company and they said I purchased it over a year ago. That is correct but it has a 2 year refrigeration life stated in their description. They agreed to refund me for half of the one container. I am not completely happy with this outcome. I will continue to purchase this product. I am writing this review in hopes they read them and consider a better packaging solution for their quality product.

Fantastic!
My husband and I are garlic fans and two years ago we discovered black garlic. OMG this is so incredible good. If you aren't a garlic fan or perhaps you aren't obsessed with garlic as we are you may not enjoy this. I let a friend try and she just thought it was odd but I could eat this stuff like candy if it wasn't so pricey.Besides trying to control myself and not eat this like candy I have added it to my pizza sauce, smashed it into cream cheese for a yummy dip and I have added it to butter and steak. So incredible good and it adds a little something.I also believe there are health benefits to this but I won't be making any claims.

Such a DEAL!
A few years ago I paid $12.+ for 5 whole bulbs of black garlic in a plastic bag. What a mess to peel! I wound up with a little more than a tablespoon full of useful bits. And it was such a MESS.Here is no mess, no fuss, no gooey fingers.If you are trying black garlic for the gourmet or health value, this is the brand to get. The price is excellent.I won't buy Chinese fresh garlic because of the poor soil conditions in China. This garlic is grown here in the USA and processed here so I expect it ti really have few to no contaminants. I expect to use so me every day to derive the health benefits. But if I do keep it in the fridge for over a year, I know it will still be excellent.I am making a French bread "Pizza" for lunch: press a few gloves of black garlic in a garlic press and spread them on the bread. Spread on some tomato or pesto paste. Top with a thin slice of eggplant and top that with cheese. So good!

The Real Deal
This black garlic is sweet, a bit tangy and can go in so many things! I even eat it straight out of the container. My family's favorite recipe so far is to puree a couple TBSP with about 1/4 cup olive oil, toss it over a head of chopped kale and cauliflower, add a bit of salt, mix well, put in a roasting pan and roast it at 350* for about 1/2 hour, scraping the pan and tossing 1/2 way through. The kale comes out crispy, the cauliflower browned and soft, and it all has a flavor that is out of this world! This is a good company to buy from. I've placed 3 orders since April 2013 and have been happy with everything.

Wonderful sweet flavor.
I wish there was at least 5 MORE stars to check off because that's what this Black Garlic from Culinary Elite deserves. They shipped out my order faster than gossip travels. A small package like this gets tossed around during its travels and possibly leak but mine arrived in perfect condition.I've had my share of all types and kinds of garlic....roasted, pickled, and even other so called Black Garlic. This is so good compared to other types/brands I've tried and its been my absolute pleasure to have found this company.If your on the fence wondering what Black Garlic is and what it really should taste like, do yourself a favor and place an order with Culinary Elite....you will not regret it.

Fantastic stuff that any foodie would love!
This is the second (or maybe the third) time that I have ordered this product. I use it in pasta, in twice baked potatoes and on pizza (although the pizza is always for my friends as I don't really care for it.) A friend of mine owns the company but I always buy it directly from Amazon. I have even purchased some for other friends and they are always grateful.The taste is somewhat on the sweet and savory side, not like what you would expect from raw garlic but too different from roasted garlic, just with a more caramel flavor. I find the quality to be top notch and I am happy that Amazon carries it so I don't have to feel like a mooch asking my friend to send me some.

mmmmm ♥ Luv me sum black garlic! ♥
If garlic could taste like candy, this is it. I keep some near the computer to snack on just the way it is. The rest is stored in the refrigerator where it is convenient for cooking. This brand has a clean, healthy taste to it, full of complex carmel, molasses and umami flavors.
