Work together or fail alone
Volume 2 of Monster Hunter Flash Hunter picks right off where volume 1 ended in a life or death hunt. Raiga, Keres and Torche really start to learn what it means to work as a team, which is one of the main theme of the volume. The other is the mysterious outbreak of hostile monsters in usually peaceful areas. We also get a nice backstory to Raiga which explains why he wants to be a monster hunter. Which warmed me up to him a bit, even though it was a bit generic for a shonen protagonist background. Overall it's a fun shonen series and I'm looking forward to see what awaits our motley crew in the next volume.

Yeh, loving this manga even though I don't play the game. This volume is full of battle action, starting off continuing the battle from Vol. 1. Raiga and Keres learn how to fight as a team through all this battling so their characters are developed and they've become friends, with the animosity still there. The plot progresses by having a year pass in time and the duo get sent on another mission where a village is being unusually hindered by monsters. They meet up with another team and the village has its own monster hunter, so the cast is increased dramatically.

A great read
Love this manga. The balance between humour and seriousness is great and love seeing the fights in monster hunter played out more.
