For the Fob part, take one of the working keys, and turn it to run and off 8 times in less than 10 seconds - there will be an indication. Then press the lock or unlock on the new key, but to be sure, also press/test the old keys to make sure all work. F150S WITH XLT OR HIGHER TRIM PACKAGE FROM 2009 TO 2014 ALREADY HAS THE REQUIRED MODULE INSTALLED FOR THE REMOTE START. YOU DO NEED TO VERIFY THAT IT HAS THE HOOD AJAR SWITCH. IF YOUR TRUCK DID NOT COME WITH REMOTE START, THAT SWITCH AND THE AERIAL ANTENNA ASSEMBLY MUST BE INSTALLED FOR THIS TO WORK THE REMOTE START FUNCTION. FORD PART # FOR ANTENNA IS DA8Z-15603-A. AFTER HAVING BOTH OF THESE INSTALLED, HAD LOCAL FORD DEALER CUT THE KEY FOR ME, THEY DID IT FOR FREE AS A FAVOR SINCE I ORDER PARTS FOR THE SHOP I WORK AT. HAD ONE OF THE TECHNICIANS I WORK WITH USE OUR IDS AND PROGRAM THE KEYS AND TURN ON THE MODULE. TOTAL INVESTMENT TO GET WORKING WAS AROUND 50 BUCKS FOR KEY AND ANTENNA, PLUS LUNCH FOR A TECHNICIAN. THE ONLY REASON I DID NOT GIVE 5 STARS IS COMPARED TO THE FACTORY KEY, THIS ONE IS A LITTLE ON THE LIGHTER SIDE AND I CAN TELL IT IS NOT AS WELL BUILT AS THAT ONE. IT DID, HOWEVER, ONLY COST A QUARTER OF A FACTORY KEY, SO ALL IN ALL, STILL A GREAT DEAL.
