前版を気に入っていたため、発売と同時に購入した。最新の知見は取り入れつつ、前版同様に、各臓器別感染症の重要事項をコンパクトに記載した良書に仕上がっている。各臓器別感染症の微生物学的鑑別診断の項目が特に秀逸。ある程度頻度順に記載されており、各微生物毎にどのような臨床状況で問題となりやすいかを数行で記載されている点が類書にない特徴。各臓器別感染症を疑う際の臨床症候、鑑別診断を進めるために必要な検査、そして微生物学的鑑別診断、初期治療・最適治療抗菌薬、フォローアップに役立つ事項等が程よくまとまっている。臓器別の観点からの臨床感染症学を網羅的に勉強するために、通読可能なテキストとしておすすめしたい一冊である。

I sent this back. It is actually a treatment guide, not a book about infectious disease. Great book. Just not what I needed.
