Excited but disappointed
I have been very excited to receive my first copy of High Times, however it is 4 days late and I have no news of where it is. I'm hoping that it comes soon because as I said I'm very excited to start reading it

warning this subscription is a joke.
WARNING. this subscription is a joke. My first year they missed multiple issues and they couldn't send the missing issues so they extended it. So I wasn't going to renew. But after a few months I decided to try again and hopefuly it was covid related but every month I see the issue on newsstands before mine ever shows up and then I just received my November yesterday Oct. 9th. Now that seems good except for I NEVER SEEN OCTOBERS ISSUE. So here I go again I get to waste more time to contact them about missing issues and them not care.

Rave on . . .
I recall first seeing this magazine back around the time it started back in '74. Of course, it was pretty controversial at a time when many of my friends were moving north from the Bay Area, Marin, and Sonoma to Humboldt County, where one could find the necessary privacy to grow pot. Then, in 1981 came Reagan and the so-called war on drugs, with its helicopters and raids. Forty years later, marijuana is far less controversial and legal in several states. What a long strange trip... This magazine has held a light to the situation and has contributed greatly to the foolish prohibition of a relatively harmless and even beneficial herb. Many underground growers and advocates have depended on "High Times" to keep the faith and, in the meantime, pick up valuable tips on growing and purchasing cannabis for health and pleasure. I especially appreciate the privacy of getting the Kindle edition, since, even though recreational use is legal now where I live, pot remains stigmatized in the minds of many. Rave on, "High Times."

They must be smoking...
I received two issues with my initial order then didn't see another one after that. My annual renewal reminder just emailed and I think the price for a year is far too much if you only get the first two (lol). Opting out and warning others you may get a couple overpriced issues rather than a full subscription.

High Times = Dope Rider
The only reason I bought this subscription to _High Times_ is that I want the _Dope Rider_ comics. If _HT_ ever stops publication of Paul Kirchner’s _Dope Rider_, I will be done with the magazine. I highly recommend _Dope Rider_. The art is superb, and the humor is spot on! Gotta love it!

Great Resource
Extremely informative magazine. This is a resource for understanding the evolution of Cannabis in Western Culture. So many years were wasted by false narratives, when medical research could have been more widely undertaken to deal with a variety of ills. A petty bureaucrat had the ear of J. Edgar Hoover and convinced him that Marijuana was the "Evil Weed of the Field." Millions of men's and women's lives were damaged and as a result of their felony arrests, unable to vote in this Nation, a fact not overlooked by President Nixon, who created a "War on Drugs" and continued destroying many productive lives. This magazine heralds in many details of the new beginnings for Cannabis. Such news sources may have occurred when Prohibition ended, or at least I would like to think they may have emerged after that historical blunder in our history too!

I'm satisfied
I love my subscription to High Times! Just got my second issue and can't wait to read it. I paid for in September, but didn't get my first issue until December which is fine!

worth getting
If you like pot culture you will like this magazine. I gave it a 4 star rating because it does have a lot of advertisments but its usually for cool glass pipes or papers or stuff like that. I have bought some of the other cannabis magazines and some are better then hightimes but hightimes does have good articles on how to grow and keeps you up to date on the latest methods and styles of growing. With the legalization in colorado and washington i can see this magazine getting more and more popular. At this price on Amazon you cant go wrong. I think this magazine is deffently worth a buy
