It appears to be of good quality, but unfortunately my dog is not very happy with it.

Quality Food for Your Canine Companion
Dog foods run the gamut from the dirt cheap, loaded- with- fillers brands to the more expensive foods with quality ingredients and high price tags. Nutrience Natural Healthy Adult Dog Food is one of the good ones; a dog food made with top notch ingredients and a dog’s good health in mind. The majority of grocery store dog foods are not very good and I swore off feeding most of them to my pet. I will only feed certain brands and I try to check the ingredient list first to see if very many fillers have been added. Nutrience, based on ingredients, is a very good dog food and it deserves a chance in your dog’s diet for that reason alone. Meat and vegetables comprise the top of the ingredient list so you, the dog owner, know that what you are feeding your pet will keep him/her healthy.Of course, healthy ingredients are only a piece of the equation. If your dog doesn’t like the food, it may not eat. Lucky for me, my dog loves this food and doesn’t hesitate to eat. The good thing is, he doesn’t love it too much. That is, he doesn’t devour it and over-consume like he does with the cheaper foods. With this dog food, he likes what he is eating, but he knows when to stop. What worked for my dog may not necessarily work for yours, but my dog tends to be picky so if he likes it, there is a good chance your dog will like it, too.A high quality dog food can get expensive and Nutrience Natural Healthy Adult Dog food is an expensive food. The price tag could make some owners hesitate to buy but if you can get past the sticker shock, this is definitely a dog food worth considering. It is made in small batches and contains better ingredients than other dog foods. It is made to keep your pet healthy and happy and in that regard, it succeeds.

Good high grade dog food
Our German Shorthair Pointer has been eating this for about the past 6 months. She's always been on a high grade dog food but it's sometimes tricky to find one she will eat readily. She seems happy with this one and her coat is shiny. She continues to be healthy with, of course, loads of energy.

High Quality but Unpalatable
My (old, finicky) dog simply refused to eat this food. I'm still giving it two stars because the ingredient list looks good, but I won't be getting it again.

My dog stopped eating
My 16 year old large dog eats Nature’s Domain Grain Free Salmon Meal and Sweet Potato (found at Costco) and thought this would be a similar food alternate. I did half Costco brand half Nutrience to help the switch in food but she just picked at her food as if I put something nasty in it. This went on for over a week and I decided it wasn't healthy for her to eat so little due to her age and her current weight. I stopped feeding her Nutrience and went back to 100% Nature's Domain. But, I do have a picky dog. Nutrience seems to have a healthy dog in mind as well as dog owners that are looking for a healthy food option for their pets. I love the 'No Bad Anything' motto.

A healthy option for your dog
Given the listed ingredients I didn't hesitate to feed Nutrience food to my dog. Some have questioned the size of the nuggets for smaller dogs but I like this size. They're not so large that my 20 lb. dog can't chew them and the size slows her down a bit. Some of the "small dog" niblets are so tiny they rival the size of cat food. In those cases my dog almost inhales the food. I'd much prefer that she take the time to chew each piece which is probably better for her digestion and better for her teeth too. The bag the food came in is very sturdy and I like the velcro closure for freshness and for avoiding spills. The only negative: my dog typically eats anything and yet she sometimes hesitates to start eating this food. She's never left a crumb behind but there's something in the taste or odor that prevents her from jumping right in. I'm not sure what the issue is but ultimately she cleans her bowl every time.

Great food for dogs with allergies!
As I have said in reviews of other Nutrience dog foods, this is really good stuff, warranting 4.5- and 5-star ratings on most dog food rating websites. This means, in other words, that it contains a lot of good ingredients and very few bad ones. These quality ingredients are not just a finicky preference for dog owners who want to squeeze a few more years of life out of their pets; it improves life DAILY for dogs with allergies.I have an English Springer Spaniel with terrible food and skin allergies. If I feed him ANY dog food that contains grain fillers, he breaks out, develops rashes on his tummy, itches like crazy, gets puffy eyes, and in general is totally miserable. Finding the right food has been an ongoing quest. Nutrience passes with flying colors: my Spaniel has never been healthier. Better yet, he loves the taste, and gobbles it up almost as fast as I can scoop it into his bowl. With these generalities aside (which apply to all three kinds of Nutrience food I've tried), let me say a few specific things about the chicken flavor sold here:* The smell is really nice for a dog food. Have you ever bought one of those cheap dog foods from a department store and it smelled like stale garbage? Well, not the case here. There is a very rich, fresh, almost pleasant meat smell. I think some of the freshness is the result of the large kernels (see below). Kind of like how coffee beans hold freshness better than coffee grounds, my theory is that the large kernels help to hold in freshness longer.* Note well that the kernels are large -- like marble size or bigger. I probably would not feed this food to any dog smaller than, say, 20 pounds owing to choking hazards or difficulty chewing, but it's fine -- even good! -- for bigger dogs like my Spaniel, who weighs about 50. Just keep that in mind and there will be no problems.* Be sure to read the label at the bottom of the bag where it specifies how much Omegas, glucosamine, and chondroitin this food contains. You will notice that the Turkey, Chicken, and Herring contains higher levels of these ingredients than some of the other, cheaper options from Nutrience, so purchase accordingly. The fantastic Seven Fish Medley formula (which I've also tried and love) is similar to this option.Overall, I highly recommend this food!
