And a zoom lens fits innthe side compartment. Not sure about nikonsIts a great bag on d compact side though. I have been using this for the past 2 years now and bought the same one again after the old one was stolen. The only problem I have with this case is the hammock system, which wears out after few days/weeks. What I mean with that is that the cavity/hole through which your camera is supposed to hang with expand and it won't act like a hammock anymore. Having said that, the case has enough cushioning to keep your camera safe. The best part about this is that you have space for 2 extra (or 1 extra, depending on your lens) lens. While I cannot fit the camera with 70-300mm lens attached to it, this lens alone would fit in one of the size pockets.
