## Description

On the rocky coast of the Côte d'Azur perches a crisp, white modern home, elongated and compact, cryptically called E.1027. The Anglo-Irish designer Eileen Gray (1878–1976) bought the site, paid for the construction and designed the building (with

Review: This is a beautifully organized and informative study of Eileen Gray's Mediterranean villa. - Wilfred Wang has assembled a fascinating collection of original and new drawings relating to the Gray Villa. My strongest complaint has nothing to do with the editor or content of the monograph, but the disrespect and carelessness of desertcart's shipping and selection. I am furious that a beautiful book arrived so damaged. The monograph arrived battered - scraped - several pages actually ripped out -- simply slipped into a bubblewrap envelope with no protection. My $42.00 charge should be refunded!!!
Review: Honestly the best architecture book I’ve ever seen. - I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best architecture book I’ve ever seen or owned. It is stuffed with photographs, both original and contemporary. It has sketches by Eileen Gray, her working out notes and sums, numerous plans and sections. The bit that sets it apart is the details and exploded isometrics of every little detail and furniture piece. You could just about commission a copy on the contents of this book. It’s a dream. I’m so so pleased. My only (minor) gripe is that it really deserved to be hardback. It’s a bit flimsy but the contents make it an absolute bargain so I can forgive that. It’s a thesis.
