TIME-SERT M8 X 1.00 Metric Thread Repair Kit 1810

This thing is amazing, and it costs an amazing amount of money, but if you need this tool this is truly the only one I would recommend. Used it with a hand drill and a snap-on tap set/holder, and all went smoothly with no issues. Just ensure your drill the hole with the drill bit deep, if you go to shallow your stud and insert may not be deep enough (I was close to not being deep enough!)

Make sure you get the right tap bit i bought one to fit m8×1.00 spark plugs but insert es a lot smaller than that..

Great kit for our shop. It is a great thread repair system for repairing threads that are stripped or damaged. they are easy to install and lets you put a good bit of force to be used, that way you know that the threads are repaired permanently. These are thinner than most which lets you get in smaller areas where the other insets are to big. there is a flange on the top of the insert so it wont thread down into the hole, and has a lock on the bottom that expands to lock the insert in. Very user friendly.
