I lost mine and have cut my thumb twice now!** A: I doubt it, but getting a cut proof glove would work. **Q: Does this have a cover?** A: It comes with a protector for your hand. No cover for the unit itself, however the blades do retract flush with the bottom I have used mine for 2 - 3 years with no problem, only downside is I would like a thicker slice. **Q: Is the cross slicing blade serrated** A: Hi There!
