Teswell 1080P Portable VGA to HDMI Adapter Video Converter with USB Audio and Power - Black

The video conversion worked perfectly but had no sound. Tested the unit on two computers; one running Windows 7 and one running Windows 10. Looked like USB drivers loaded on both computers with no problem. Looked through configuration properties but could not find any way to get the audio to pass through the HDMI cable. Tried two different HDMI cables and two different TV's...just in case. Returned the unit to Amazon. Would have been a great lightening deal if it just worked.UPDATE 7/18/2016 --The company contacted me via E-mail within hours after I submitted this review. They offered a similar replacement device described as "VicTec VGA Male Port and USB Port (Audio&Power) to HDMI Female Port 1080P Full HD Resolution" at no cost. It took 4 days for the replacement to arrive. The design of the replacement device is better because the USB cable is long enough to reach to the other side of a laptop. This helps on some of the older units that have limited number of USB ports next to the VGA video port.I changed this review to 4 star because the company was so prompt in addressing the problem. Can't give the original device a 5 star rating because it didn't work for me. Highly recommend that anyone that needs this type of device consider purchasing the unit the company sent as a replacement. Kudos to the company for great customer service!

4 Stars for the video quality, less 1 stars for sound quality. I bought this product to connect my Windows XP laptop (Sony Vaio) to the TV. The video resolution has increased to its highest as compared to a VGA which only accepted to medium level on the Display Settings bar. But when I play the music or video, the sound quality is not even acceptable level. Couldn't understand out what the audio was playing.In order to make use of the best out of both the worlds, I have plugged the USB (for the power to component) to a phone charger, which would save me USB port on the laptop for connecting other accessories and also avoids the component to generate any sound output.And using a audio 3.5 mm male to male cable connector, I have connected the laptop's headphone jack to an external speaker. Now I have the best of the video resolution and best of the sound.

The video conversion worked perfectly, but not the sound. The usb driver loaded, but there was no audio being passed through the HDMI cable. I tried it with two different computers, two different HDMI cables, and two different monitors (one TV and one sound-enabled computer monitor).Edit 14 July 2016: On the positive side, the company has been very attentive with customer service, working hard to make sure that I get a working adapter. After a few emails back and forth, a new one is on the way. I'll update the review when I received the adapter and get a chance to test it.

This adaptor is a fairly convenient one, however it does not work with all devices, especially newer ones. It works well for what I need it for though

Solved my problem without giving me more. I installed a TV in our conference room and needed a way to hook up older style PC's without HDMI outputs. Plugged it in and it worked. I like that. A good buy.

Works very well to hookup your TV to the laptop and watch movies, videos, or us the TV as a picture or work screen, You will get pictures and sound with this device just as they describe.

DOESN'T WORK AT ALL.VERY POOR QUALITY

Great conversion for an older laptop that has no HDMI output that you want to display on a large flat screen TV.
