It had a morning and an evening side and the sides clicked into place. I always hated that I had to put them in a gallon sized ziploc when traveling "just in case"...and there were times when one of the pill carriers came open and I had to figure out which pills were for which day or day vs night. This pill case is great. Each day is separated and removable with four compartments per day. Each of these compartments click securely into place and then the outer enclosure locks everything in place. I have traveled with them several times and have yet for any of these to pop open. I even took a chance and put one in checked baggage. I also like that I can pull out a day or two if I'm going on a short trip or somewhere I just need a day or part of a day without dragging the entire case - or dumping a compartment into a ziploc baggie. Overall these have been great...I have three now.
