It is much slower in settling back to a lower temperature when ramped up by touch and holding the thermocouple sensor with my fingers. The display is bright and easy to read. I am using it for my aquarium tank to check the water temp to the readout from the heater. Someone else posted that the thermocouple interface was rusting but I put Aqueon silicone sealant to prevent that and I think that should fix that issue.
