This proximity monitoring system consists of two uniquely matched wireless devices. The devices cannot be compromised by other wireless devices. One device works silently (no visual or audible indications) all the time and it is closely tracked/monitored by the other device. It does not make any external indications audibly or visually and it can be easily concealed and silently tracked without notice. The second device with an alarm closely tracks/monitors the distance in between and generates alarms if necessary. The tracking device receives wireless signals from the other to determine the distance between them. When the distance exceeds a threshold, alerts will be triggered. On the other hand, when the tracked device is approached within the searching range, the other tracking device will indicate (similar way for searching for Black-box in airplanes) and then it becomes a powerful tool to narrow down the rescue searching range or a potentially life-saving gadget. The tracked device has a temperature sensor inside. Once the ambient temperature exceeds +40°C/+104°F, which is a life-threatening condition (for example, confined in a vehicle under sun) especially for young children and elderly people, alarms will go off. Device is not as advertised
I have been searching for a long time for a device like this for my Mother in-law who suffers from Alzhimers. We have a device from another company that is a GPS tracker which works great. This device however does not alert us if she is wondering from us. Thus we wanted a device like this to alert us when the tracker was outside of the set range.The advertisement of this device stated that a "siren" would sound when the devices were separated beyond the set limit. (See the response of the company below as they have since changed "siren" to "alarms") Based on the description I felt this would do the trick. I ordered the device from Amazon and received it 2 days later. No sooner was it delivered to the house I opened the package and set up the device. I found the device nice and small, not much bigger than an AAA battery. The device adds no noticeable weight to the battery. I found the device simple to operate and set up and quickly went to test the range on it. I found that the advertised "siren" was not more then a minimal chirp. Even in complete silence the device could bearably be heard. Even with the device held directly to the ear, it could bearably be heard. Without an audible alert that can be heard in complete silence let alone in a public area does one no good regardless of battery life. I had several people listen to the device while chirping and they all laughed that it was supposed to be the "alert" as they too had a very difficult time hearing it.I am desperately trying to find a device that works as advertised to help us keep track of my mother in-law and assist us with preventing her from wondering. We have returned the device to Amazon as it is not as advertised.As you will see below, the manufacture requested I change my negative feedback. Because of the fact that there are so many others out there in the same situation as I am, I cannot change my negative feedback.I have notified the company that if they feel the device we received was defective in anyway, I would be happy for them to send out a new unit for use to try and would then adjust my feedback accordingly. I further stated that If the "siren" or "alarm" is no more than a chirp then there is no need for me to change my feedback. We changed "siren" to "alarms", which may sometimes be confused with clock type of electronics. The component used to generate the audible alarms is the best product available on the electronic markets in terms of size and sound pressure. We have three reasons to use that expensive component. First, it is the smallest with that high sound pressure level. Second, it is the most efficient one with that size and sound levels. We tried many other audible components. Most of them are much bigger than what is in your wireless device and all of them REDUCE the battery life by at least 80%. Third, it is the only one that can take extreme temperatures. It is the most expensive one at that performance in the market. There may be better ones in the future but we don't think they are coming soon. Our products feature small size (convenient for carrier), really long battery life (no match in the market so far) and high performance. We strongly believe that our products can help people who need them. Your feedback is very important to us to improve our future products when better technologies are available. Geo-fence not strong enough
Bought this for my AD husband who wanders. I could be 10' away and be able to see him and it was giving me alerts. Don't really need GPS tracking and the expense since I can't ever let him get that far but looks like that is the way I may have to go. Returned to Amazon. Thanks Amazon for your great return policy and the ease and speed you handle it with.
