The broken one (prob 20 years old) was made in the usa, but the replacement that I bought from ACE was made in mexico. I'd imagine this one was also made in mexico. **Q: How do I tell if it is bad?** A: if you have 24v at the solenoid, and it does not open the valve the solenoid is bad **Q: how wide are the threads? I need a 3/4 inch diameter** A: Rain Bird makes a replacement solenoid that is a 3/4" male thread. **Q: Are these waterproof or do they need a cover? So although it does not look exactly the same as my original Richdel it does the job for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good replacement for Irritrol 2713APR *by J***S on 1 August 2025* Faulty wire connection on top of solenoid was causing zone to be skipped or shortened. I could reposition the wire and it would work for a while, but would eventually fail again. Found this replacement solenoid and it fixed the problem.
