whats the point of the key/lock if someone can just unscrew the bolts holding it to the rack itself? cant they take my poles and locked holders?

Also, when using the hidden “T-bolt” mounting option, there is no access to the mounting bolts without having the key.

How wide is this rack outside to outside?

The rack is small, I use it to hold fishing poles and I can put up to 5 poles

What's the largest dimension cross bars this will fit. also does it come with t bolts so it could be fitted to a t track system

External dimensions are 31" and the internal is 27.4". All of our ski carriers come with Universal Mounts included and yes you can remove those and only use the T-Bolt that is supplied and mount directly into c-channels on Aero Crossbars. Thank you and call us with any more questions at (303) 706-9700. -Rhino-Rack

Csn I use this to transport my wakeboard?

It would really come down to the width of your wakeboard. The 574 has an internal carrying width of only 19.7 inches, while the 576 has an internal carrying width of 27.4 inches.
