I tried this out along with the Rode Lavalier GO, expecting the Rode to be better. Although, I liked this one much better than I expected. Since it's stereo, it picks up the ambient sound really well, but not it a way that drowns out your voice. Out at the beach, it picks up the waves and the birds, but if the ambient sound gets too loud, it still won't overpower your voice. The Rode Lavalier GO is much more noise isolating, if that's what you want, if you don't want any ambiance, then don't go with this one. However if you're doing something like me, out in nature, I would recommend this one. The cable is a bit short. I have been using it connected directly to my Google Pixel 8 using a TRS to TRRS adapter + 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. That setup works pretty well, although I did get a little interference or something one time I think the connection was loose. Keep that in mind about TRS: This will not work with a standard headphone jack, or a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. You will need to get an additional TRS to TRRS adapter, which you can then plug into the standard headphone jack or 3.5mm adapter. I use this microphone with my PS5. It works right out of the box and sounds great from what my friends online say. I also stream so I use this as the microphone to talk to my friends online while I use my main dynamic microphone to talk to my chat. It's a budget hassle free setup and is exactly what I need. I just wish the pop filter didn't fall off all the time. It doesn't really need it though.

Good quality, but you need to set your gain correctly for it to sound good. Very easy to use.

At work, we shoot head-shot videos from time to time. We normally do this with a Shure wireless system and record the audio separately. The audio then has to be synchronized to the video. The Sony 4k video camera we use can take an external microphone. Someone borrowed it and used a lapel mic to record the audio directly with the video image. The audio quality came out great, so I was curious to try it, but didn't have a lapel mic. On various websites, I saw expensive to inexpensive lapel mics. I was nervous about the low-end ones but knew I didn't have much of a budget. This Sony mic was priced right at $30, and decided to take a chance on it. I did a field test after it arrived. I wanted to see two things. (1) How much noise would it pick up from handling. (2) What would the audio quality be when the subject was still and just speaking. As expected, the first test showed a fair amount of noise, but not worse than I expected. I would not say it has great noise cancelling features from that point of view. However, it did not pick up an excessive amount of room noise. It was much better than just using the camera's built-in mic. That factors into the second part. The overall quality of the recorded voice + background noise was very good. Very little background noise and very good voice quality. I was well pleased with that. I will definitely use the mic on my next headshot video project. The cable is short. An extension cable is required to get the connector to the camera input. I wish it were at least 10 feet long, but so it goes. The $30 mic and $10 extension makes a $40 solution. That is acceptable for my needs.

I have tried SO MANY lavalier microphones and this is hands down the best one I've used. I use it for creating motorcycle videos and the mic audio is clean and clear, with minimal peaking and wind noise, even with the dead cat off.

Not good in my helmet with wind compared to other mics that I have that are much less expensive.

This little condenser mic is pretty good for the price. I use one each on my three OBSBOT Tail 2's. I was surprised as at how well it could handle pretty powerful Sound Pressure Levels (SPL) when I had to sit it pretty close to a set of PA speakers recording a live music event. I have no complaints at all with this mic for my use case. Great value for the money

Melhor microfone de lapela que existe. A qualidade do som é perfeita. É uma pena que a sony não tenha esse mic na versão sem fio. Único problema que tive foi ter que comprar um cabo adaptador para usar no celular. Aquele de três marquinhas no plug.

Excelente micrófono con una captación de audio bastante neutra y clara, evita que la voz se capte demasiado brillante. El volumen de captación depende enteramente del dispositivo donde se captura el audio por lo cual se recomienda que el hablante tenga un tono de voz de medio a alto si se pretende ocupar filtros de ruido.

Wire build quality could be better. Mic is too good, it records everything including the lowest possible sound. I am using this since a month, i never thought that a microphone can be so sensitive. It gives a crystal clear output. I am happy with this buy! I hope it will last long enough at this price.

What an amazing little microphone had an amazing price! My $300 Shokz OpenComm UC’s Microsoft Started acting up after just two years of use (never buying Shokz again), even comparing to when my Shokz was new, this Sony microphone, even at a far distance (clipped near the stomach), from the face has a magnificent voice capture and it can eliminate keyboard sound or other noises without affecting voice quality. It is even amazing to be used with likes of Microsoft teams or zoom with outstanding. Wow!
