They have a nice color ( I got the amber) and the flicker is realistic and provide a nice glow on the wall. Though the battery life does not last that long, it is to expected as we has them on every evening for hours. Lasted about a month. The timer function is a great option as they auto turn on and off everyday. You do have to get pretty close to the candle to turn it on with the remote but this is not an issue with where I have them.
