Q: Can you use this on dual white led strips vs rgb?

As long as both strips are using the same voltage or you're using a single strip with shared +12-24V, it should work fine. You'll end up with one unused potentiometer for dual-color white.

Q: Is it possible to (dim) play with the rgb colors from a 3w rgb full color high power led on a star base with this dimmer. i like to hear from you.

Using the maximum rated power of the controller of 9 amps and 24 volts gives us a maximum of 216 watts!!!! Soooooo, I'd guess 3 watts would be well within the safe zone. Enjoy yourself!

I don't know the value of the potentiometers but definitely you shouldn't think they are simple voltage divisors. I guess they control the pulse width and probably are carbon type.

Q: can i connect three 16 foot led light strips to this controller?

So long as you don't exceed 9amps, you ought to be fine. Generally, most LED strips are 2.2Watts per foot. I would check yours to be certain. 2.2W x 16ft = 35.2W x 3 total = 105.6W. (100Watts = 1Amp). So you're way under. Good luck
