Embossing is an elegant technique that changes the nature of the leather, making it breathtaking pieces of art. The gorgeous embossing on this sketchbook has been done with care, passion and love, making each piece unique. It is kept securely closed with a leather strap that wraps around the journal and tucks underneath itself. Inside of the sketchbook, you will find 200 sheets (400 sides) of 120 GSM premium handmade deckle paper. Deckle edge paper in contrast with a cut edge, has a feathered and smooth edge. Pages are folded individually in a frame and are afterward left uncut, so that each page has a ragged and irregular edge. Deckled paper is highly prized by artists for its surface texture and appealingly natural finish. Making this paper is a laborious and slow process that requires very skilled artisans.
