This motor worked great, fit my AC unit like it was supposed to . Just wish the old fan blade would havecome off easier, but after 29 yrs. I was lucky to get it off and not damage it.

Very easy to install, no issues at all.A/C now operates as designed.I wonder how much money I saved.Between YouTube and Amazon I'm guessing about 700 $

My 20 year old Weatherking original condenser fan has finally started acting up this summer. Tried to oil it but it was still overheating and stopping due to thermal protection once a week, so ordered this one as a replacement. The motor looks the same as the original k55hxjkl-2918 except the original one is a 3 wire and this one has 5. It is mounted face down, and on the face it spins clockwise making the fan to go counterclockwise when you look from the top of the unit. The manual for the motor says for 3 wire to join yellow and purple for CW, brown to the Fan of capacitor, rest 2 are line. I did that and the motor was spinning CCW on its face, with fan going CW from the top. Switched brown and purple wires (purple to the capacitor, brown - connected to yellow) and the motor went CW on its face, CCW looking from the top of condenser, and it was all good. I'm not a HVAC guy but it is a standard for any motor rotation to be confirmed while looking on its shaft, with that the manual is wrong for CW and CCW rotation direction, but it is a an easy switch. Other than that the rest is great - motor uses the same 3MFD capacitor I had before, and very quiet compared to the old one. The fan used to have slight vibration due to the bearings being warn, and now the vibration is all gone. For $95 shipped I'm very happy.

Ad listed it as OEM motor. Brand and item number is different than what is listed on the sales ad. It might work, but it is not the Original Equipment Manufacturer motor (OEM) used on my condensor unit. Very disappointed.

Delivery arrived as promised. The motor fits properly and runs great. Instructions to install as three or four wire set up were easy to follow.

This may or may not match your old unit exactly. This is a multi-fit unit that is made to work for a number of OEM motors. In my case the motor was great but I needed a different capacitor. The seller hooked me up with the correct one right away. They have excellent customer service. Has been working great all summer. You must remove the little plastic plug on the bottom. That lets any rain water out.

Perfect fit. Original fan motor had 3 wires this unit has 5 wires. Directions tell you how to use it as a 3 wire. Installation was easy and it works great. A++++
