Total Defense Premium Internet Security

I got this it was to work better then Norton but it does not work with windows 8 that what I'm using not a good software.

Was unable to download software. Technical support said I needed to pay $ 169.99 more to repair my computer. Bought other anti virus software and it downloaded easily and and computer runs great. Tried to get refund since theirs was not downloading and they give you total run around.If you buy it I sure hope you don't need a refund. Good luck ! Mike

I was recommended this software by P.C. Richards & Son where I bought my laptop. The program started out fine for the first month i had it. However, no matter how high my pop up blocker setting was, my computer still managed to receive the javascript trojan virus. While i give Total Defense credit for quarantining it, it was only after i ran a full scan that I was able to delete the virus. However, the damage was already done to my laptop by the time I discovered it. I had to have a HP Smartfriend tech remote access my computer and clean up the trojan virus that Total Defense should have completely blocked.If Total Defense is claiming to be the top internet security site, then shouldn't it be able to catch a trojan virus? I am giving this a 3 star rating because while it failed to catch a trojan, it DID block other threats on my computer. Though after a while anti virus software stopped working properly and i kept getting non responsive messages, so I just got myself a new anti virus. But if you are looking for basic protection and don't use the internet as often as i do, then Total Defense might be right for you.***I purchased this product on the Total Defense website

This software is a joke. I don't like the fact that you have to put in a credit card just to finnish installing.

My computer was infected with the browser hijacker virus. (downloaded the virus with a free program). While I was able to remove the bulk of the virus, the McAfee already installed in my computer was not able to remove the residual files so my browser was still redirected a lot, very annoying. I used Total Defense, it was able to remove everything on the first scan. However, I think it's too restrictive so it blocked out a lot of the internet connections so I had trouble even reading my emails. I had to remove it and reinstall my McAfee. But it did solve my biggest problem--killing the virus. So 3 stars. I do think if I am more computer savvy, maybe I can modify the settings to make it work.
