Boot Lacing System

This is my second set of TacLaces, and they are a great product. My first set has held up extremely well, through water, mud, dust and even ice. The material of the securing straps is a high quality elastic webbing that has so far shown little wear or fraying. I recently bought a second set for my spare boots, and I've attached pictures. The package includes 2x sets of straps, 2x large bootlaces, and instructions on how to attach everything. Given that the genius behind these was is a US Marine, I appreciate the use of diagrams to ensure that installation was Jarhead-proof. As you can see in the before and after pictures, I used to tie these boots by using cordlocks and then wrapping the unused "tail" of the laces around my ankle. This is a tried and true method, but the down side is that the lace wrapped around the ankle is exposed to extra wear, which may result in failure. There is also no give in this cord, which means it has to be wrapped tight and can lead to diminished circulation. TacLace solves both of these problems, as on the one hand the webbing strap protects the laces around the ankle and on the other secures them using hook and loop, rather than knots. Overall a great product, a common sense design and extremely functional and durable.

The TacLace system works well for any boot, and can even be used to provide ankle support (although it isn't designed for that). I've installed the laces onto a pair of rollerblades, and they've sped up the time to put the boot on securely while making the laces more secure by lowering the chances of it unraveling by itself to around 0%. The Velcro allows different parts of the strap to secure onto itself, making it hard to come loose and tangle with anything. It's simple to install and easy to use, and won't interfere with the function of the boot at all. It's a great purchase for something so useful, and I consider it reliable.

Love this product. Had an issue with the device that cinch the strings tight, but sent an email to the company and they were able to tell me the problem (hard click the device to activate it). And once that was fixed it worked great. Lace your boots with the strings and velcro bands provided and it really works. I used to adjust my boot laces at least 4-5 times a day, now it's once when I leave for work and that's it. This has been the best investment for my feet besides my Red Wings. I have issues with my feet and proper lacing tightness and continuous consistency in lacing helps my feet last 10 hour shifts.If you wear boots and don't use this device, you are missing out on a comfortable fix and you are wasting time lacing and tying your boots to many times.Great customer support.

Bought to try these out. I was looking for para cord Lace size for my boots, and could not find the size I needed. Saw these and they were the size cord I needed. Shipping was fast, and upon arrival, they looked great. After about 45minutes, trying to figure how the hel* to use these.(Instructions on the back are Terrible) Finally Went on YouTube to find instructions. They are good if you DONT need to get your Boots off in a Emergency!The time you save in lacing your boot snug, you will LOOSE (Double Time) trying to get them off! I ended up just using the laces for my boots.Gave the 1 star for fast shipping

Great Idea.My hiking boots come untied all the time and it is very annoying. I bought these to solve the problem. New problem is the strap comes loose and grabs the back of my ankle. I then ran the strap threw the little loop on the back of my hiking boots but they still slip up on the sides. Also the extra show stings come loose and hang sometimes underneath. Another unexpected issue is the hook and loop catches everything. If you have pets be sure and keep them strapped up when not in use or they will soon end up full of pet hair.

I received the coyote brown straps, but the laces were sand colored tan. I need the coyote colored laces to match my boots and strap. The laces that are on my boots are too short to use with the straps. So, until longer laces are available, the tac straps will sit in my closet.I'm really disappointed since the idea is really cool.Next time, send the dark laces that match.

I work in emergency services and typically buy slip-on or side zipper boots becuase they are easier to don and doff. Since that wasn't an option this time I decided to give Taclaces a try. They arrived pretty quickly after I ordered them which was great. I took them out of the box and immediately lacee them onto my boots. I have pretty thick calves so I felt like there wasn't quite enough lace to do the job. I swapped the stock laces out with paracord so I could have a little bit of extra room. As for the rest of the system, I love it! It makes donning my boots so much easier and faster. Furthermore, I can make them as tight or as loose as I want without having to untie anything. All you have to do is pull and wrap. Easy as pie! Doffing my boots now take half the time it took with zippers and is almost as fast as pulling off slip-one. Overall I am satisfied with TacLACES!!

These are great. My boots have lace hooks up the ankle, and I wasn't sure these would save alot of time having to lace the hooks. But I end up taking off the boots at least twice a day to go to the gym and if I need to go back out after getting home, so I looked into it. Then I saw a video of someone using Taclaces on the hooks in just a few second. I wasn't as fast to begin with, but after a few weeks of using them I think I could give him a run for his money.My order also came with a free set of laces. This is the kind of product that does its job so well you don't think about it.
