You can't go wrong with Casio
I was on the fence with this watch because 1) it is large, 2) the face looks busy. However, it met all my criteria: lightweight resin construction, quartz accuracy, lumed hands, day/date complication, low price, and decent water resistance. The short verdict: thumbs UP, just buy it! I tried a digital watch, but I just prefer the analog dial and hands. I get to see time as a fraction of a pie and sense how close I am to a specific time. There are a lot of numbers on the dial, but it is still easy to tell time at a glance. The watch looks nicer in real life; the edges are neat, printing is sharp, and the window is clear. The second hand hits the markers on mine. The strap is fairly comfortable, but the accordion section near the lugs digs into my wrist. In time, one can get used to it, but I swapped in a homemade nylon strap that is more comfy. This watch will take 18mm straps/bracelets/adapters made for the popular Casio Royale (AE1200), so there are choices in aftermarket straps. The lume is much berated by online reviewers. I suppose they are comparing this watch against the best of dozens in their collection. In that case, it fails. However, my needs are that it glows enough to tell time when I wake up in the middle of the night, which IT DOES. With dark-adapted eyes, I can see the hands and the hour markers well enough to tell time. This lasts till morning. I have not owned this watch long enough to assess long-term accuracy, but it is common for a quartz watch to gain/lose less than 10 seconds a month (the specs are +/-20s). 100m water resistance means I can shower, swim, snorkel, kayak with this watch. The bezel feels the same as on an orienteering compass. Even though it is bi-directional and friction-dependent, it is usable for non-critical applications, like cooking, exercise, or travel. It can substitute for a compass bezel if you know the boy scout trick, and be used to indicate the difference in another time zone. Honestly, if the price of this watch was $50, it would still be a steal.

Best watch I've ever had!
I love him! I've had this watch since 2019 and the batteries died a few days ago for the first time. I was able to change the battery and he still work!!!!!! He's carried me through emt school, ems during the pandemic and beyond, and my first hospital job. I'm hoping he'll last me through nursing school too. Best watch I've ever had. I added a picture of how the watch looks now and the kind of battery I used to make it work again. It's pretty easy to use and the color has stayed on it pretty well. I think my wrist is average size, the watch fits well and can be adjusted for smaller or bigger wrists. There aren't any buttons on the watch, but the dial works well to adjust the time and day, just look up the manual to figure out how to use it without messing up the watch. Also, the bezel can move, so it comes in handy when counting respirations or hr.

Time will tell.
Best $20 watch around/Look decent. For daily use and getting banged up.Casio qualityJapanese mvtAssembled in China10bar -100m WRNot a screw down crown.A screwed back plateDoesn’t look like $20, more like $90TimeSecondDay (alternated in Spanish overnight)DateFriction bidirectional bezel,( no detente/clicks). Serves basic purposesBlack/green , Doesn’t glow!Argh. I don’t need a battery wasting light. If just the hands glowed some.*Apparently they do on white faced versionVery lightweight. Comfortable.Good size. Not large/overwhelmingBand is a bit thin/chinsy but comfortableStupid easy to set/change.*18mm Casio Royale (AE1200), Bands fitI luv my G shocks but set up/changes are horrific. I don’t mind the $1-300 cost but am done being frustrated by resetting changes that don’t work.Durability and recessed faced glass are great tho.As accurate as most ~1min/yr.Set hands 10min forward then roll back. Do it when sec hand at 12. Press in to start when iph etc changes min for best accuracy.I will update as time goes by.

Excellent day to day utility watch.
Excellent value for money beater watch, the lume is on everything needed, hands and numbers and the watch is small and discrete while being easy to read at a glance.Outer ring is smooth non ratchet movement but its still useful for basic timing, its stiff enough for day to day non diver use.Only missing a light but at this price its not that important.

A remarkably high quality watch for so little!
This is an outstanding, very high quality, extremely accurate watch...and what makes it great is the very low price....I purchased it yesterday for less than $16 - with free shipping! I had another one of the same model for 6 years and it lost maybe 3 seconds in more than half a decade. Strongly recommended watch!

Sporty like modern digital.
It’s GREAT!!!My husband said he liked only digital watches.BUT we travel a lot and every time we’d hit a new time zone, he’d have to find someone to help Ilhan set the local time. And it was so hard with the digital watches that he’d just NOT set the new time! He’d just keep calculating the local time based on the East Coast time…. So ANNOYING!!He LOVES THIS!!! I got him an analog watch for the above reason but got the Casio because it looks otherwise JUST LIKE HIS OLD DIGITAL!!!The hands are SO EASY to see and read. Setting it is just like the old days. The only negative is that the hands DO NOT ILLUMINATE. Not that we’ve been able to see.To summarize, we both really like it. Easy to re-set the time, easy to read. Looks like a sporty digital. Great!!
