Size DOES matter!!!!!
My normal hat size is large. So many reviews of helmets mentioned tight fit, so I ordered 2 sizes larger. Probably should have gone 3 or 4 sizes larger. Great helmet. Nice noise reduction, and good fit and finish. My daughter says it fits great!!! Now I have to get one for myself. I will try one on prior to purchase.

Very small for stated size
I have worn large helmets all my adult life, and with this helmet I had to go thru three sizes to find an adequate fit. I started with a large - I could barely get it on - sent it back and got an XL to replace it. The XL fit really tight around the back of my head and neck. I sent it back and ordered an XXL. This XXL finally fit "snug" without causing discomfort in wearing it. The cheekpads are still quite tight, but not to the point of being uncomfortable.I like the features this helmet offers, and for the price it offers quite a bit. If you can get a proper fit with one, this helmet should serve you well. Just keep in mind that they do run quite small.

runs a lil tight.
i used to where a medium in the days helmets were made in the usa. i had to buy a large hjc helmet in 2000, helmet was always a little tight bought a second in 2012 , then an xxl from harley in 2016, it fit nice and loose where i could fit helmet without taking my glasses off. bought this xxl hjc 2022 now its a bit tight. so i seriously doubt my brain got bigger so the helmets run tight haha.
