Excellent!!
This wiring adapter is excellent, and it makes me happy to live in a world where people invent awesome things that fix little annoyances. I recently bought a new car, and didn't want the wiring from my radar detector and dash cam dangling around the dashboard or running through my a-pillars. Quick search for a solution turned up a company that makes little adapters for various brands of radar detectors. That is great, except that you need a dedicated device for each brand. In comes SimpleUSB. Instead of getting a product specific cable, you get a universal female USB port. It wires directly into the wiring harness of your powered mirror, and works flawlessly. Now I can have a power port up on my mirror for absolutely anything (assuming it is USB powered).Installation is easy. Just press the pins into the back of the harness plug, and you are in business. There is a red LED in the USB port that lets you know you have power (also helpfully for double checking that you did not accidentally connect to a constant on connection.Pins are sturdy (seller updated the materials from a prior version that was not so sturdy), and easy to push into place. As an alternative, you can splice this directly into the wires of your wiring harness. This is a bit more permanent, and really not necessary as this has a clean look already.

What I have been looking for.
I have been looking for quite sometime for an adapter that I can use to easily plug in my dash cam G1W without having to run a long wire to my cigarette lighter. Since I have a powered rearview mirror I looked into splicing in to power the dash cam but did not have the skills necessary to do it myself. This device is a God send for those with no knowledge of electrical systems. I was able to plug in the wires to my mirrors connector and have power to my dashcam in about 5 minutes. Everything works great and I now have a free cigarette lighter port and no long cable that I had to fuss with.My vehicle is a 2012 Toyota Avalon with a powered rearview mirror with integrated backup camera. On my connector I plugged in the wires from Simple USB cable to the bottom left 2 slots on the connector and was good to go.The cable is made very well and even has a fuse in it should you accidentally plug the connector in wrong. If you do not have a manual that shows what the connector slots are, you should use a volt meter to check for 12 volts at the connector pins. All in all I am extremely pleased with this and will purchase more in the future for other devices in my car to be powered.

It's really nice and compact and for this price
It's really nice and compact and for this price, you expect that. I would give this 3.5 stars but at this price ($26.50), I expect better quality. The cables are too short, there should be at least 1-2 more inches, especially because of the quality of the pins. Speaking of that, the pins bend way too easy, too short, and aren't crimped on that great. I had one pin easily fall off so I had to strip the wire and use it like that. But because the wires are too short, I really had to move it around to get it to fit and the rearview mirror connector that I tapped isn't that far from the roof liner. I also had to cut away the braided wrapping as it fraid with normal handling way too much.

and it went into the connector easily without bending the pins
I purchased this to use with Anker Roav dashcam and it's simple to use and install. Wish either the red/back wire or usb cable was 1-2 inch longer. Forget about using your fingers to plugged in pin into connector, you'll just cause a cramp on your fingers. Use a angle or straight needle nose pliers, and it went into the connector easily without bending the pins. I've also used small zip ties to secure each red and black cable to factory harness and double side tape the usb connector to the back of my mirror. Maybe seller should include a small piece of double side tape, just my 2 cent. Shipping was quick as i received the item the next day without paying for overnight shipping.

It works, but needs improvement.
Overall the product works as designed but definitely has room for improvement on quality and price. The current price (~$26) is way too step for what you get. As others have stated the pins just aren't durable and bend very easily. They also seem to slightly work themselves out with normal vibrations of everyday driving. My pins haven't worked out to the point of causing a disconnection but after a week or so of using this for my dash cam you can noticeable see the pins backing themselves out of the mirror connector. The braided wrapping on mine was also very loose and frayed when it arrived, I ended up having to trim it off to make it look better.

Works good when it works.
Ordered one for use in a 2017 subaru wrx. Installing it in my car was a hassle because this model does not have a plug on the mirror like older models do, but this is not the products fault. However, my first unit was DOA, no power, tested on several 12v lines, and with a multimeter. Ordered a second one and it works. I am giving it a 3/5 stars because the first unit was DOA, and I feel like the pins could be stronger. Also the price is a bit much, it's what most places charge on amazon, but if you were to DIY or buy a similar item from china (and wait) it would cost under $10.

I think this is a good product, but it just didn't prove its reliability ...
I drive a Mercury Grand Marquis.I was able to get power to my dash cam unit, but the pins would not stay in the back of the power connector. Even though I had secured the pins with electrical tape, it turned out that the pins would slip out when I adjusted my rear view mirror, and I would lose power to my dash cam.I think this is a good product, but it just didn't prove its reliability for my application.

Careful with the pins
Be careful, the pins are very weak. I barely applied any pressure to insert one into my mirror and it bent, then broke. I have a mirror tap for my radar detector, so I'll just splice it to that.----Update: I've increased my review from 3 to 4. It works great after dealing with the broken pins. Since it's the only one on the market, I felt like a 3 was too harsh.
