The signal seems ok but the performance is not good. I sat at a position that has about the same distance to three access points, this device, Securifi Almond and Netgear router. For Netgear I got 24MB/6MB(D/U). For Securifi Almond I got 17MB/6MB(D/U). And for this device I only got 7MB/2MB(D/U).12/10/2016 update: It seems you got what you paid for. After a few weeks of slow connection, it got dead, showing " no internet connection". Resetting many times without luck.

This is a small unit...at first look it does not look like it will be powerful enough to work. It does. I have a patio that did not get a signal...this unit is plugged in and set up as a repeater...approximately 40 ft. from my wireless router...this picks up the signal and amplifies it very well...I get a strong signal on my patio now....works well so I can use a laptop or my kindle fire easily. The setup instructions are a bit on the scarce side but after a bit of experimenting it went ok.

To be honest its not what i was looking for.. i needed a repeater to repeat high download/upload speeds. As for ping it s pretty stable. my tip for readers.. look at the upto number. for example if they say upto 1200 Mbps which is the repeater i later purchased. the amount of download/upload will be greatly reduced. Piece of junk! Worked for a while then stopped. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and started working. When it's working it's great, but it keeps stopping. It's only about 25 feet from my router.Now it's a couple of weeks past the return period so I guess I'll eat it.

I purchased this due to the reviews however, it doesn't work in my mobile home. Distance between router and where I need it to boost my signal is not far enough and of course, the steel all around doesn't help, will be returning.

We had a tech come over because we are not able to open browsers using the extender. It shows a signal yet it is not opening up a browser. We will be returning this.
