Great dupe
My husbands key broke of his original key holder. He bought this one as a replacement. Works great and looks great. He was able to take off the VW logo from his original and carefully super glued it to this dupe. One issue he shared was that the original key has a pin to connect the actual key and the “handle” but the dupe is tighter so he can use the pin to “secure” it. However, he does not foresee it breaking or coming off. At least not any time soon. He didn’t have an issue of the door unlocking when putting the key in his pockets right away therefore he has to walk away from the car and then put it in his pocket so it doesn’t detect the car and unlock. (Only sometimes)

Saved me $1200+
I had some car trouble and took it to a mechanic who in the end, screwed me out of hundreds of dollars along with breaking the only key to my car. Went to the dealership to get help with my initial car issues as well as a replacement key. With the parts I needed, it would have been well over $1200. After some research and some reassurance from my boyfriend we went this route. Bought this blank key, got it cut, and we were able to put the chip into the new key. Worked like a charm. I am so greatful.

Saved me $420!!!
I needed to replace the bade and the fob for my 2014 VW Jetta because the metal holding the blade broke. I received the order the second day with Prime, it was well packaged in a small pouch inside a box with a 2nd order. It included the VW logo sticker inside the new fob, a new pin and a new uncut blade. Great quality, looks and feels just like the old one.Installing was easy, got it open and swapped the chip with the bad old fob. The toughest part was taking out the pin that holds the blade, you have to hit hard until it’s out but other than that it worked perfectly and I’m happy I saved $420, because the quote from the local key place to replace the whole key was $430. 👍😁

Saved $500 - $600 the cost of a new key.
After your key breaks from the key fob. You can go online and find instructional videos on how to move your broken key and board to this Keyfob. The only thing that the online videos do not tell you is you might need to do just a tad of grinding to make the key fit on the new fob. But with a bit of ingenuity and about 30 - 40 dollars in parts it can be done and thanks for nothing dealerships.

Not same hardware dimensions as OEM
So if you were hoping to use this as a parts key for your OEM key, the dimensions are different. The insertion is smaller, the push out button is smaller, basically all the key part hardware is smaller and not interchangeable with OEM VW keys. And vice versa your OEM key hardware is too large to fit unmodified in the new caseYou cannot use your own OEM key (part that actually goes in the car ignition) with the hardware of this key without modifying it or having a new one cut.Other than that it is fine. I ended up just using the soft parts of this key to replace the worn parts on mine and not even using any of the hardware.

Rubber buttons are too stiff to work
Useless to me. Not only are the tolerances completely different than the OEM key fob (you can’t just take the key from your old fob, and put it in this case, the key release/lock buttons are different diameters), but I couldn’t even put the circuit board from my original fob in this one. The board fits, but the buttons are so stiff that the car keeps locking/unlocking itself, and opening the trunk without even touching the key fob. This knockoff design is completely faulty. Hopefully I can save someone else the trouble I went through with this purchase.

Good quality shell
My daughter's fob fell apart and I was able to fit it with this. I took out the circuit board and it was an easy swap. The key, however, was much more difficult. The parts on this shell and the OEM shell to not line up so you can't swap the key over. What did work for me was removing the key blade by pressing out the retaining pin then swapping it with the blade in this shell. It looks great and I even swapped over the VW logo so it really looks like a new OEM key fob now.

Not perfect for OEM key
If you want to swap OEM parts into this it takes a little work. As others have stated, OEM key shank does not easily fit, it HAD to be filed to fit into the fob, and to get the roll-pin in to hold it (not ideal for everyone to do). Buttons are hard plastic and seem cheaper. My OEM computer chip did fit into the new fob, and with some filing on the key shank everything now works.
