This is a delightful tempered glass cutting board depicting The famous Great Wave off Kanagawa. This is the most well known of all the ancient woodblock images by famous Japanese artist Hokusai . The image was edited and changed and then was placed onto the back of the board using a hi-tech heat application process. The glass board measures 8 x 11 inches and has a pretty swirled shiny surface and can be used as a heat proof trivet . The tile has 4 transparent rubber feet on the reverse , so I don't recommend putting it in the dishwasher, hand washing is better. The cutting board was created by artist Susan Rothschild from an 18th Century Japanese art classic..
