Washing machine lid switch assembly with wire harness. The lid switch ensures that the washer door is closed while the washer is spinning. If the lid switch is broken, the washer will not spin. If the washer won't spin but will still agitate, the lid switch is likely defective.3949247 Replaces 3949247V

Brought my washer back to life! Saved me over $400!
I woke up to a washer that would not move past the fill cycle, an old Roper RAX4232KQ1 from the 90s. It came with my home and I was not ready to purchase a brand new $500 washing machine. I called a repair shop and they said it was most likely the door switch. I looked up the part number and it brought me here to this part. It did the trick! I was able to take the machine apart and replace the switch in under an hour. My machine now works good as new. I am very exited that I did not have to purchase a brand new unit. Thanks so much to the seller!

Fit not right
The part didn't quite fit. It requires a hard press on the washer lid to make it work. It appeared the same as the old part, but the amount of action in the switch was different.
