It does what it is intended for, but it sticks up like you have a pointed head (if you don't mind looking silly), but your pointed head will remain dry. If there is a wind, the front visor has lift off, so beware if walking in a wind. I needed something to keep my head dry while I use my hands to hold onto my walker. It performed quite well during our last rain. I have a small head and short hair, and the bonnet just fit. I would recommend this product, but my friends say they won't walk with me if I wear it. They say it will make me look old...okay when will I be old, I'm 75 already!
