The new one is a powerful blower that blows aways leaves easily, the vac function also works as expected though the description of this model did not tell clearly the impeller are not metal but hard platics. The cordless EasiBlowVac does have a metal impeller which I missed this feature when I read that for the PowerVac 3000. You need to change parts when you switch from blower to vac, which is the down side of this model but when compare the other brands (e.g. Bosch), they are the same. This model does not have a variable blower speed function, which you may need to consider as the blower is so good that blows the leaves everywhere, if you have a small garden, the variable speed one might fit better.
