kangapooch The Small Dog Carrier (XXL) Made in USA, Organic Cotton

I got this for my 9lb 16 year old schnauzer for walks and to keep her with me during the day. She was in her last days on this earth and I wanted to keep her close and comfortable She was hesitant at first but she enjoyed it once she got used to it.The design is very thoughtful, and helps keep your pup close by. I wanted her in a front carrier in a position that kept her close to my body, because I knew she would enjoy that position the best. This did just that. I got a large based on my measurements, and I think that a medium would be more appropriate. because of the stretchy nature of the fabric I would recommend if you are on the edge of sizes to size down. I ended up twisting it a couple of times to size it down, which worked alright.I had bought it for walks, so that if she got tired I could carry her, but she refused to get tired during her walks! ultimately though, it facilitated my pup being more comfortable in her last days. she was unsteady, so it helped her feel nice and supported especially in the car, while running errands, or while snuggling while playing some board games at home.

I like this carrier because it holds my dog close to my body and up top of my torso, compared to most dog slings that carry the dog low by my waist/hips and not so secure as they can swing back and forth.I posted a photo of my dog in the Kangapooch. Please keep in mind she's only 2.5 lbs. You can see that she takes up most of the room in the carrier and is very comfortable. In fact, she sleeps in it while I'm waking around and doing my computer work! In this way it's a great bag and the perfect choice for me.However, if my dog was much bigger I would be concerned she wouldn't fit in it, or if she did fit I would be concerned that she would wiggle and be prone to falling out. So, if you have a dog in the 8 + pound category be aware this may not be the best bag for you.This bag is very comfortable to wear but not the most attractive. In person the bag does not look exactly as it does in the Amazon picture. It's got a lot of denim blue colored fabric which I don't like at all but the pouch in front where the dog sits is solid black. It's got a big metal "D-ring" hanging from the front, too. Not sure what that's about and it looks out of place.Over all, for a dog less than three pounds I give the utility and comfort (for both of us!) a full five stars.For the fabric color choices and style I give it 2.5 stars. For a $60 bag I expected much better.

This is hands down the most practical and best pet carrier on the market. I do not leave many reviews, only if something in its category is exceptional, which is the case for this product. I have bought MANY pet carriers over the past 20 years, on line, in chain stores and ritzy boutiques, none of the carriers were as practical as the Kangapooch. I have dropped many $$$$ on my quest for THE pet carrier. This is extremely light weight, not bulky at all, and very comfortable for pet and owner.It is extremely important to pay attention to sizing xs,s,m,l, has noting to do with the size of the dog. My dog is 11 pounds, going up to 12-13 lbs would be possible but probably not much bigger. I am 5’8” 125 small chested, I ordered a medium, it was huge on me.The seller’s help was fantastic. I could have used an xs, but decided to go with a small because I can wear it over a jacket or coat. Without a coat on my dog sits a little lower, but nothing disagreeable. One can wear this carrier under a jacket or sweater and it is not noticeable, no bulk. It rolls up compactly and easily and can slip into a handbag, suitcase or roomy coat pocket.This is a fantastic discovery. My dog and I heartily recommend the kangapooch. If you have any question, contact the seller, I did; they responded quickly and were extremely helpful. This is the type of experience one always wishes for.

Before I met this product I spent a lot of money to buy bags for my 5lb Maltese. Kangapooch is the EXCELLENT product. I was surprised that how it nicely sewn, even wrapping was amaging. Thank you for using Organic cotton!I bought XS (my shirt size is XS or S) first then I bought XL for my husbund as his Christmas request. (his shirt size is XL). We both loved them but recently we broke both Kangapooch back strap. Size seemd perfect for us but back strap gets stress when we take them off. So I left message to seller about this issue. Michael & Chelsea the seller took care of the issue rightaway. They sent right size products for us. M size for me and since XL is the biggest size, they made custom size for my husband. Our conversation was before weekend and they sent them following Monday. My husband was more than happy with this amagin service.

Chelsea's design is simply profound. My baby girl Biscuit (tinny chi 2.5p) wants to be attached to her daddy all the times. She absolutely loved it from day one. I've noticed that the mesh pouch keeps her very comfortable with out overheating her body in our hot and humid Florida weather. One more innovation that clearly shows the designer's focus beyond human and doggie comfort is animal safety. The two smart placed buttons hold my baby girl snuggle while I am doing work around the house (bending etc). While walking in my favorite pet store today, I was approached my several toy and/or small breed pet lovers that they found the Kangapooch EXTREMELY helpful.

Love this product!!! It is similar to swaddling a baby! My dogs feel safe and get very ‘zen’ in the pooch. I got a medium for me and an XL for my husband and they both fit well. I could’ve gone to a small, but a prefer a little room in my tshirts so it’s kinda the same principle. The only thing I wish were some color options of the pouch. We live in Hawaii and the black tends to absorb the sun. Maybe a breathable spf material in white or a lighter color? Also, our pups are 8.5 and 10 lbs. I don’t think you could do much heavier and still have them comfortable.Thanks Kangapooch for a pawesome product!!!
