Perfect for large train collection!
Here is what I found to be the pros and cons of this Train Rack;Pros:1. The trains can be faced out which my son prefers because he likes looking at their faces.2. This holds his whole collection of trains with room for more.3. It is wide enough to actually sit on the floor if it leans up against the wall so you don't have to hang it up if you don't want to.4. It is made of pine so the shelf itself is not heavy (but once all the trains are on it does feel heavy).5. Made in the USA- gotta love that.6. The shelves are tilted forward to display the trains better. I somehow missed this tidbit of information when I bought it so was pleasantly surprised.Cons:1. The Price- I really wish it wasn't so expensive but since there are not many options for train racks you are stuck paying up unless you build your own.2. You have to either paint or stain this because it is unfinished wood. Some people might see this as a positive as they can choose a color that goes with their childs room decor. I don't mind that I have to paint it but it is an extra cost to an already expensive item.Overall, I love that my sons huge Thomas the train collection can now be neatly organized and easily accessible.

Good, not great
This rack holds almost 100 trains if faced out. The longer trains (spencer, daisy, henry, etc.) do stick out by an inch or so. We like that the rack is made in the USA, but the way the cardboard corner protectors are put on is disappointing. The cardboard is stapled to the very edge of the wood causing splinters to break off where the staples were put in. Appears to be laziness or poor quality control. Also of note is that this wood is not stained. $100 is steep for what you get, but there are not a lot of other options out there that hold this many trains.

Second one I bought and I want one more - Solves the Trains on the Floor Problem
This fits Thomas & Friends wooden trains perfectly with their little faces all smiling out at you. Perfect way to store and display wooden trains. My son actually puts his trains away! Will buy again.

Good solid display shelf
I started collecting trains but had to put them in a box so they won't get scratched. This shelf is great if you don't have a lot of wall space but want to fit a lot of trains and be able to see them all. The wood is nice and solid, the shelving is deep enough to put long engines like Henry or any four wheeled engines if you arrange them facing out. I can fit 16 Thomas brand engines on one roll so this shelf can hold around 96 engines if you don't count the tenders. It took me a while to decide on buying because of the heavy price tag but it's worth it!

Happily organized!
Finally, my son's large train collection is organized! My 4 year old son loves that this rack accommodates the trains so that the faces can be pointing out (rather than side-view). Holds a lot of trains! I just wish there were finish options (paint or at least varnish). But, happy to overlook that one issue since we have no more trains on the floor or thrown into bins!

Great, but over-priced
Exactly what I was looking for. Over-priced, but would buy again as it works extremely well and there's no competition our there to bring the price down...
