Obviously they will be used to decorate the outside of the cake after its been baked.** A: Be aware that these String Project Poster Lights have much more wiring and space between them then some smaller LED lights. If you are using them to decorate the outside of a cake after it is baked, my only concern would be the functionality of the lights if frosting gets on the wiring. They do not come in colors that I know of, but this company also makes stars with tiny flashing red lights. I have tried them but I like these much better.
