TAIFENG 8 Inch Classic Nonstick Aluminium Fry Pan with Transparent Glass Lid and Soft Handle

I am in the process of returning this item. I don't know if there are different ones being shipped but the one I got definately will NOT work on induction surfaces. I tested mine on a Duxtop cooktop and with a magnet and it was a no go. The pan itself is fairly nice but I bought it specifically for my Duxtop. Sometimes I get so frustrated. I feels like sometimes these vendors think you just won't bother returning it. Not saying that's what happened here but why say it has an induction bottom when it clearly does not???? Hopefully, it's just a typo or printing error or something but if you are looking for this one for induction use, be aware. You may get one that won't work. As long as you don't need it for induction, it's a really nice pan. I like that it comes with a lid and is deep. If I could find one exactly like this that worked on induction, I'da been happy. The company did reach out to me offering to send a different item to see if I like it but to my way of thinking, it would be a lot easier on them if they just remove the induction bottom wording.***Update: There is now a note in the description below that says it can only be used on a gas cooker but it still says induction bottom at the top.

We have two of TAIFENG pans. I can't believe that the handle burns your hands. It gets so hot that I dropped the pan and burnt my hand. My daughter has one and I have one. I can't believe a company would make a pan that the handle would burn you. We have two pans that we can't use.

You get what you pay for. For a while whenever I'd cook with it I'd smell an odor and it smoked. I think it was the exterior paint. I use it but I wish I'd bought one that cost a bit more that was not made in China.

Not a bad frying pan, but it's definitely NOT INDUCTION COMPATIBLE, in spite of what the description says.

Positives: Heavy cast aluminum, solid glass top, nicely sloped medium high sides.Negatives: Cheap lid and pan handles. 8" measure is across the top, because of the slope about 6 1/2" across the bottom.General impression: high quality pan and lid at an excellent price if you can forgive the handles and consider the bottom diameter.

This is a GREAT pan for making hot cooked cereal because it is sooo much easier to clean than most pans (combination of the rounded bottom and the non-stick coating). And great that it has its own lid!

Love my little pan. I cook for me, and a big pan is just too much space. I also find, I won't cook too much food since it only fits so much.

I guess it works as a pan should, but the finish on the bottom rubs off on my stove burner.
