Easy for beginners, my kids have even started trying their own bookmarks.

More than enough thread for the project. There are two pieces of fabric. You stitch the pattern onto one and then attach the two together to make a finished product. It was easy to read and understand the instructions and stitch guide.

The buttonhole stitch for the outside didn't look as good as I wanted it to. It was my first time and the instructions were not the best for that part.

I bought this to do on a vacation trip. It took me 2 days and was easy and fun! Lots of extra string so you can make changes or add anything you want.

It is such small squares to do cross stitch I would need a high power magnify glass to see what I was doing. It isn't stamped material you are on your own. Maybe for a young teenager with super good eyes can see. Also a bit overpriced for a bookmark project on installed material. Sorry but just my opinion. Maybe for others is good but for me no and even for beginners I think it might be a challenge.

This was my first time trying to crossstitch and I loved the main part but the instructions for the corners still have me confused so not sure I'll be able to get it finished with the corners. So wish I understood the corners but otherwise super easy and cute.

A dandelion in three colours!I was drawn to this kit because of the monochrome design and how striking the finish is. I received my order soon after, and I was really happy with the contents. Included is an easy to read pattern, plenty of Aida, a needle and a thread card with the three threads required attached. There’s also instructions on how to stitch the bookmark, and I was particularly glad to find that the instructions include how to do the finish on the edges, as the aida does not come with the finish already done. I’m not sure it would be ideal for a complete beginner, as some backstitch and a buttonhole stitch is required, but there are no half stitches involved so it’s not too complex. All in all, really pleased with this and will definitely use this store again

This is a very nice and well put together kit. It includes everything you'll need to stitch the bookmark, including a beautifully clear chart and finishing instructions (which are comprehensive, with good images to guide you). There's a QR code which leads to a website with more "How To" instructions too. The fabric is quite small so not the best for a young beginner, but otherwise is still an all-round a pleasure to be stitching. I've already ordered a second bookmark by this company.

I wa asked to review the flamigo bookmark kit. It's a well thought out kit with everything you need to get started but the most important thing, in my opinion, is a clear full colour pattern. This makes it an ideal kit for anyone who stitches or wants to try cross stitch, nothing worse than being faced with a page of black amd white symbols! Also full instructions on how to do all the stitches required. I couldn't resist getting started on it straight away!

povitrulya are a Ukrainian company and I chose this cactus bookmark kit.This is super little kit. It's not expensive but is packed with everything you need.As normal you get your pattern and a needle.The fabric for this kit is 16 count aida which I personally much prefer to 14 count, the coverage is much better. The aida provided is nice quality not that almost plastic stuff you sometimes get in kits.You actually get 2 pieces of aida so you can back your bookmark once you have stitched it.You get instructions on how to cross stitch as well as some tips on how to keep your stitches neat, how to get started and finish off your thread.Also included is how to finish the bookmark using the second piece of aida provided. Which includes how to do the stitches around the edge to attach the pieces together and make it look pretty.With all this, the kits are ideal for total beginners as well as those more experienced with cross stitch. I was particular fond of the finishing instructions because I am not very experienced in sewing things together!

This kit contains really detailed instructions including step by step photos.Everything you need to make the kit is included (thread, aida, needle, chart).As an experienced stitcher I enjoyed stitching this kit, but I believe it would be great for a beginner because of the level of detail in how to make it.The colours are gorgeous together, it stitches up beautifully.I would recommend one of these kits and actually do have a unicorn one to try next!
