Had it for a while, but did not get to use it many times before it broke. The plastic cracked at a slicing point and it was worthless.

Excellent item. Much easier to grab than conventional apple slicers. Attractive design too.

The media could not be loaded.  I was really excited about getting this apple slicer. I have wanted one for so long but I can never find them in stores. So when this arrived, I immediately grabbed a bunch of apples to slice. Unfortunately, I had SUCH a hard time using this, I was only apple to slice one apple. As you can see in the video, it took all my strength to get this thing to cut through the apple. I thought maybe I was just a weakling, so I had my husband (Army, works out every day, pretty strong) test it out, and he had almost as much trouble as I did! The blades are so blunt, you might as well try using a fork handle to slice with. I think if they made the blades sharper, it would work SO much better.There are a couple of pros, however. I like how big the whole thing is. I was expecting something much smaller. I also love the handles which make this thing so easy to hold and get into position. I also liked the way the apple pieces are splayed after you cut through it, instead of having all the pieces falling out here and there.I would NOT recommend this until they find sharper blades for it.I purchased this product at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review.

The media could not be loaded.    I have another apple slicer but it's not as sharp as this one. The other one has nice padded handles and this one is just plastic. I can see how maybe over time after multiple uses possibly having the plastic crack.For now it's durable plastic. It's not cheaply made. The blades are sharp but they definitely could be sharper. I would definitely recommend rocking the cutter back and forth until it breaks the apple's skin and then press down in order to cut the apple into pieces. In my video I didn't do that. I just pressed with force from the top of the apple so when I got into the apple part it kind of slipped causing me to cut part of the apple with a curve. If you cut it as I recommended that likely of that happening would be less.I like that you can just rinse it and toss it in the top rack of the dishwasher and you're good to go.***I did receive this item at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review, which I did leave above***

I ordered this to use with my kids in the classroom but unfortunately mine was broken when I opened the package.

This apple slicer works very well. I cut the bottoms off so that the apple sets flat then with one push, the apple is cored and sliced. I did four apples for my kids in less than a minute; they were happy to have apple slices and I was happy that it didn't take me a long time to cut them up. I also made potato wedges with this, and they turned out great. On the box it shows it cutting the apple into twelve slices, but be aware that it actually only cuts into eight pieces. However, it is easy to use and it works like it's supposed to. We love it!Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review. It literally broke after the second apple. It only had one job.
