great rod for the price
this rod has great action. med-fast for fly. well constructed. 7ft would have been a little better but this is a great overall rod and very versatile. packs nicely and the sections fit precisely. They should market this as a spin/fly combo instead of "spin pack rod" in the main description. Why they don't is beyond me. You have to read the product specs (and other reviews) to figure that out. interestingly, the small image/thumbnail shows a different rod (4-piece with cork handle). this rod comes with foam handle.and is a 6-piece.

Works well, is very convenient, and at a fair price
I purchased this rod as I was going to fly out of state to go canoeing and fishing and the airlines have counted my regular rod in its hard case as a piece of check thru baggage, resulting in a large fee. This rod solved that problem as I was able to throw the case into my regular bag.It fished well. I used it for fishing for bass, walleye, and pike and was pleased with how it felt. For the convenience, price, and quality, I feel that this is a very good deal.

Great buy.
Needed a takedown rod since I fish anywhere at any time. Can't be hauling around even a two piece rod. This rod has a smooth action, casts well, and best of all, breaks down to a 15" package that I can take anywhere. I just wish I could get an 8-9' rod that did the same; since the tarpon are running at the beach right now. I've used this rod to catch a 27 1/2" snook, so it's definitely durable enough.

Not worth the money, poor craftsmanship.
This rod pieces together very loose and on the first cast two sections flew apart. I taped together then when I caught a 2 lb. fish, the middle section snapped in two pieces.

Loose segment fit, Tip breaks, no support. Compact for travel & supports fly and rod-n-reel style.
I like the rod but the tip broke off in the very first use. Used straightened paperclip to insert into the hollow core with super glue to repair. Tod segments fit loosely and require building them up with wood putty to make a snug fit. The last eyelet insert ring fell out. Contacted service support to see if I could buy a new insert or last rod segment and never received a reply. Despite required repair tweaks and zero support, a.good rod. I still use it as my primary rod and the repairs I made have held up very well. 5 stars if I did not have to make repairs and I'd give it 3 stars if I could get a support response.

Breaks Easily
Has broken twice in a week. What started out at 6'6" is now about 6'2". Casting a 1/4 jig it just snapped. The good news is since it is sectioned and pieced together, that concept works with what is left. Overall, the pole is balanced and even in its "busted" condition, it casts well and catches fish. It is inexpensive. It seems most telescoping or collapsible rods are either in the $20 range or over $100. There is no "middle" range pole.

Size when broke down (15 Inches)
I just received this a week before headed to Alaska, didn't want to take my full size rods as added baggage, so i bought this & made a rod holder that will fit in my carry on bag. Only reason i am sharing this early is because i could find no where what the size of this rod was when it was broken down, will review on performance later. I will add a few pictures of how i am traveling with it, took a 24 inch mailing tube, cut to about 18 inches with a kitchen steak knife, end plug goes bag in just fine, fits into my bag just perfect with out packing large rods & holders.

Good Action But Needs Attention
I tried this rod for the first time today. The first few cast, I noticed that with the six piece rod, it requires a lot of realignment and making sure the guides are all lined up for each of the six pieces. I found myself twisting the rod after each cast. Possibly, I did not push the pieces together strong enough. The upside of this rod is that is has good feel and action. After 20 minutes of trying this for the first time, I hooked a 2 lb bass and the rod performed well. I also got many strikes and the pole transfers the feel of the strike very well. I like the rod and will try and set the pieces together a little bit stronger next time. The pieces never came apart.

Better than expected
For the price is a very nice rod. Flexible and packs away nice. A case or a strap to keep it together would have been nice.
