The perfect solution to a messy problem
After our fourth trip to SE Asia, such sprayers stopped seeming exotic and began to seem a necessity. Toilet paper really is a far less sanitary solution. After doing as much research as possible, I chose this product because of its design:1. a focused spray; those 7 closely-spaced holes allow for precise cleaning2. it's a bidet and not a dish sprayer3. water pressure is easily and conveniently adjustable4. it has a leak resistant, brass valve -- much like the one on my expensive kitchen faucetThe installation was effortless and tidy. In actual usage, it beats anything I ever used in Asia. The only negative is that the hose is rather too long for our low-slung toilet -- it drapes somewhat annoyingly across the floor. That said, I'd buy it again and recommend it to anyone.

Buy this hand-held bidet, and you'll be glad you did!
You are going to LOVE this sprayer! For at least three reasons! Not in order of importance -- each aspect pleases me just as much as the other two. There's the water pressure: it can come out so nice and gently, and really does a focused job of -- I repeat, gently -- cleaning all the body parts it's easy to not be able to get to. But with increased pressure by your thumb -- it doesn't slip; you have to be intentional to increase the flow -- the force of water can get quite powerful. This makes this unit quite nice for cleaning up non-disposable diapers. Which brings me to the second point: the five foot length of hose. This makes it easy to use your sprayer in the sink or tub. This hose is maybe twice as long as most sprayers, making it easy for left-handers to use on the left side of the toilet. (Most sprayers are designed to be used on only the right side of the toilet, near the water connector.) And third, the tip where the water comes out is tiny, compared with most sprayers. This one by JA Specialities is less than a half inch across. That's why you can get such a gentle spray, I guess. And fourth, the entire unit has a curve to it, making it conform to your body, rather than other types of sprayers that are rigid. This curve, plus the fingerholds so you don't drop the unit, I guess the fingerholds are the fifth point -- make this the absolute best hand-held bidet you could get. I know. I had a different kind of one. It began to leak in just a few months. This one by JA Specialities, is far far FAR superior. Buy this one, and you'll be happy.

I'm a pretty handy guy
I'm a pretty handy guy. I build stuff and fix stuff all the time. I couldn't get this thing to not leak. The problem is the fittings are all round, no way to grip them. No way to tighten by hand. I spent roughly 3 hours trying different things: from rubber bands, wrenches, and finally pliers. There is no way to get the gasket to seal unless you can tighten it. I think most other reviewers have toilets which have good access underneath, but mine does not. All those fittings need is little ears so you can grip it and it would work...I ended up scarring the chrome trying to tighten at weird angles with the wrenches, pliers, etc. Never did get it to work. Now I have a damaged unreturnable unit, wasted 3 hours hugging a toilet, and no bidet. Also, I am wet. I recommend making sure you have ample access under/behind your toilet so you can get tools back there. Before you buy this exemplary piece of useless engineering. Otherwise, you're in for a poo flavored frustration like you've never seen.UPDATE:I have changed from 1 star to 4 stars. The sales reps have actively tried to help me find a solution. Unable to resolve it remotely, they took it a step further and are having their manufacturer change the design to make installation in tight spaces possible. They promised to send me an updated unit when the changes are available. That is excellent customer service. I would happily do business with them again.

Save paper, save trees, and keep your bum clean. Tee heee
I grew up using these bidets. Was excited to see this on Amazon and quickly ordered one. Shipping was fast and installation was pretty straight forward. During installation, we did notice one thing, that the shut off valve on the connector that comes with this bidet needed to be a little at an angel , as opposed to parallel or horizontal to the pipe . It might have been a threading thing. Not sure. When horizontal , the bidet worked in bursts of 1 second each only. Turning the valve to an angle made it work the way it should. Just FYI in case someone faces the same hurdle. The spray has good pressure. The good thing is you can control the flow pressure with you thumb when you hold the spray. For the ladies, I'm telling you, don't ever use it in full pressure. You'll likely cry. Somewhere half way thru the pressure is just right .I dislike the hook/hinge/holder that hangs on the flush tank, where you place the bidet spray when not in use. Its flimsy metal and one of the screws came off after about a month's use. The metal is now bent , and the spray doesn't sit very comfortably on it. But then the better option is to mount the holder on the wall for a sturdy holder. I would take away a half point for this flimsy flush tank mount/holder. Its not so big a problem since i know I can mount it on the wall.Save paper, save trees, and keep your bum clean. Tee heeeIt's a good bidet spray, and I am considering ordering one more for the guest bathroom.

Better than some seat bidets; may be your only option if you keep your old toilet
The finish on the nozzle had teeth marks on it. It leaks unless you use teflon tape and tighten hard the connections. Contrary to the ad, the instruction state you MUST turn the valve off at the tank connection, just like all the other brands. It's not as powerfull as some other bidets, and requires some skill to use without watering doen the bathroom. You have to sterilize the wand between users. However, if you have a circular toilet instead of the larger oblong, this unit may be the only practical way to install one without upgrading the toilet. I tried various seat mounted models without success. For the main toilet I replaced it with a new oblong and installed a seat bidet.Money does not seem to equate with high quality bidets. Very reasonable price.
