I am extremely disappointed with this case and am returning it. The only good point I can make is that the design itself is nice. Cables and headphones connect easily and the slider at the top is far better that the clip on/off that most use and wear down.-The problem with the top is it started to feel looser within two weeks of use.-From the start the connection at the bottom was loose. When in charging mode and carried in my pocket it would disconnect and reconnect when jarred with normal motion. No abuse, just simply walking along.-It doesn't get warm when charging, it gets hot and so does my phone.

Wow. I've seen many battery cases from the iphone 4/4S and iphone 5 but, this case really is the best I've seen. To have a form factor this thin while still being able to bring your battery from nearly dead to full life is beyond amazing. I've never seen a battery case for the iPhone 5 that actually keeps the look of the iphone so sleek and thin. And you can't even compare with this price. $38+ shipping?! This BLOWS away the price tags of other battery cases in the market with their prices ranging from $70-$120 for all other brands.After a few days of testing I would have my iPhone's battery get down to 5% before turning it on and letting it charge and even while still using it, I was able to get back to 100% battery life within 1.5 hours of using the case on charge. Amazing.1. THINNEST FORM FACTOR FOR ANY BATTERY CASE IVE EVER SEEN. Just a smart design that keeps you thinking if you even have a battery case on.2. 5% to 100% EASILY. Enough said.3. I received one of these from a Tech journalist friend who got his for free. He didn't have an iPhone so I have been using it and have been pleased with it.I was really surprised at the price of it when looking it up, so cheap versus competitor battery packs, it's really worth the price.The only thing I wish could happen is that there was an App that would trigger the battery to auto-charge at 20% / 10% but maybe that's wishful thinking.Edit: After a few more weeks of use I've found this to have bad connections / soldering. The Miniusb port no longer will accept a charge unless it's twisted somewhat indicating it became unsoldered after daily use.The lighting connector into the iPhone also needs to be pressed in more than the battery will do on its own to make a connection too. Downgrading this to a 1 star.

I ordered this for a trip and it does come in retail packaging. Unfortunately, I didn't need it until I was getting ready to leave and opened it to find it was for a 4 or 4S. The return window was up 3 days ago so I'm stuck with it. Very frustrating.
