Absolutely the best iPad & tablet stand
There is no other stand as multifunctional, ergonomically friendly, and as multifaceted as the T stand.I absolutely love this stand. After first purchasing it in 2017, I bought three more which I gave to members of my family because I love it so much. It is the only stand that you can effectively and comfortably use in the bed with no more neck strain. Every morning when I wake up, my daily routine is to grab my Tstand iPad holder and spend an hour or two surfing the web and just reading while lying on my back in the bed. When I’m in my kitchen or on the couch I use it with ease because It is so ergonomically friendly as it prevents neck strain. When I’m on the couch, I often stretch it out straight or simply place a couch pillow in my lap with the Tstand sitting right on it with total comfort. After having the stand for three years, it broke when my teenage son stepped on it.. I was devastated because I have become so dependent on the stand and it was no longer available on Amazon. I contacted the company and explained to them what happened, and they agreed to sell me another one which I was so grateful for.The company also shared that Tstand 2 will be out soon and it will be a new and improved and more durable version. I can’t wait for the Tstand to be back on the market because I’ll be the first to purchase it.

Painful Price, Good Quality
I find myself a bit conflicted about this product. On the one hand, it's far too expensive for what it is-- two hinged pieces of plastic, plus a smaller one that serves as a retainer, and an elastic band. I put off my purchase for months believing that the price simply _must_ fall, or that something else equally promising would hit the market. And the reason it's getting four stars now instead of five is, mostly, the price. It's so high that it's a very, very difficult thing to get past. But I also have to give the devil his due. The reason that I was still in the market for a tablet-holder when I finally hit the "buy" button-- after delaying my purchase for so long, searching all the while-- was that there simply wasn't anything else on the market that looked even halfway promising. From time to time I'd search Amazon, You Tube and elsewhere and find... Nothing at all even close. Over and over again, no matter how many times I reparsed my search-phrase. And, I suppose, if you have a niche all to yourself you can charge whatever the heck you like for your product. In the end I realized I wasn't using my iPad nearly as much as I would if I actually had such a gadget, and.... Scowled intently and bought the thing.Don't get me wrong. I still most deeply resent paying almost $70 for nothing but plastic and elastic. But, at least, it's a good, solid product that I expect will last a very long time. The weakest point, it seems to me, is likely to be the elastic band, and the makers seem confident that even this component will give a very long service life. The hinge is firm, the grip secure, and the chest/belly rest comfortable and easy to steady with a well-placed hand. If I could ask for one design improvement, it'd be to make this stand able to accept at least an oversized phone as well as the various tablets. I suspect that the basic design and concept is even more suitable for something like an iPhone 6+ or 7+ than the heavier iPad, but as things are it can't close far enough to grip anything that small. Perhaps an adapter could be included?I'm retired blue-collar, not a rich Silicon Valley type. I winced in genuine pain as I hit "buy", and likely many of you reading this will do the same. If there'd been anything cheaper and equally promising available, I'd absolutely have gone there first. I even gave real consideration to installing a shelf above the head of my bed and getting creative from there with C-clamps and 1x4's. But at least in the end the T-Stand works well, and seems to be a quality product. So at least I have that going for me as I await my dreaded credit card statement.

Company no longer AWOL
Update:After I posted this review, the owner of the company contacted me on every social media channel imaginable. It helps that I have a unique name, but still his resourcefulness was impressive. He said that the "contact us" form on his website was broken for about six months without his realizing it, and both of my attempts to contact him had come during the time. After some correspondence the issue was resolved, but he did insist on a phone call. In this day and age of the internet I don't think that should be necessary, but that may be because I am not a phone person so I avoid it whenever possible. He said that most people contact him through Amazon, which frankly had never occurred to me. So if you need to get in touch with him that is probably the best way to do it.I struggled with what overall rating to give the stand. As I said initially my husband loved it, but it really only lasted 5 - 6 months before it started to deteriorate, and it broke completely after 8 - 9 months. So it's a 5 for design and a 2 for longevity. Since I can't give it a 3.5 I will round up to 4.Original review:I bought this for my husband and he loved it until the hinge broke. I have made two attempts to contact TStand and they have completely ignored me. I would love to buy him another one but I can't support a product from a company that doesn't support its customers.

Seems very good with one slight catch
I just got the stand, so I may update this review later. On the minus side, it does not hold my 10.1 tablet in portrait mode (much less my bigger tablet). My impression from one of the photos on the product page was that it would. If the top hook would go up just another inch, it would work. Not sure why that design decision was made. On the plus side, it does hold either my 10.1-inch tablet or my 12.2-inch tablet securely in landscape mode. This will make especially the 12.2-inch tablet more useful as an auxiliary device for work as well as for watching videos and reading. For reading, I'm thinking particularly of being able to read recipes while cooking. No more propping the tablet up against canisters or on top of cans. We'll see. So far, I'm liking it best as a desktop stand. On my stomach, it's a bit too close to my face. I can push it back toward my legs, and I'm sure with time I'll get more comfortable with it. I would give it 3.5 stars right now if I could give half-stars, but I suspect it would edge up to 4 stars as I get more use out of it, so I'm okay with leaving a 4-star review.

Lightweight and Practical
I love this tablet stand! I purchased it about a week ago and it just arrived. I used it for the first time last night while lying down in bed...it is light-weight and stays perfectly in place! So nice to find a product that is so practical! I know that I will use this stand for many years to come. Highly recommended!!!

Great tablet stand for couch potatoes
This is a great day when I can lie back answer have my tablet up without holding it up and having my arms go lame. It's at a good height for viewing when in bed. It's a bit slippery but I put some rubber bands on the feet to keep the stand study on my stomach. I have a Jam Bluetooth speaker which I attached to the support bar of the clamp using rubber bands as well.

Super practica and comfortable.
Love this. I bought it for my wife. She said she would share it but good d luck with that. I bought another for one of our sons. He shared it once. Think I will have to buy another one for myself. And I like that it folds up and can be stored away
