Playmaker Soccer Ball Machine

It came quickly and secure. I have it stashed away for Christmas. I will update after we have used it. The price was better than any I have seen anywhere, even used one's.Ok, 3 months later and my son and I love this machine. We are both goalkeepers and this is a great tool for both of us to train with (he is 10, I am 42). Get used to the dials and speed before you put anyone down range for shot stopping or crosses. I recommend watching the item for a while as the price can dramatically fluctuate. I got it brand new for 379.00, a steal!

This is a great soccer ball machine. I have not tested other machines on the market, but I am pleased with this one. The ability to use size 3-5 balls is great. The balls will slow down if you don't let the wheels spin back up for a second or 2, but I believe that will be the case with all shooters of this style. In any case the shooter allows rapid fire trapping drills. The shooter will be great for crosses in the spring/summer because of the power it has. Just have to bring a long enough extension cord. It's not very portable and has no battery options for taking it on the road that I am aware of. Assembly is easy enough and takes only a 10-15 minutes. I recommend 2 people to assemble though. It's heavy and requires you to line up the base with the arm to fasten it. You can quickly adjust the horizontal aim of the shooter by varying the speeds of the two wheels or adjusting the position of the shooter. Adjusting the height of the ball is a little more difficult as you will have to adjust the angle of the shooter by loosening a knob and changing the angle of the shooter and then tightening it back up. It is possible to just hang onto the handle and aim manually as well. The wheels are rubber and have not torn up my balls like I was worried about.
