## Description

Our cheese has been made the same way since Eric’s Great Grandpa Fred came here from Switzerland in 1919 (though with a bit more fancy equipment). The milk comes in, cheese makers add the cultures, curd is formed, any seasonings are added, cheese is pressed into blocks and allowed to cure, usually for several months (or sometimes years for aged varieties). The cheese is then cut and wrapped, labeled, and shipped to your door. Hi there! We're Eric Ludy and Gene Graf, co-founders of Cheese Brothers. We're two guys from Wisconsin with a passion for great cheese! How did we get our start? You could say it's in our blood. Eric's great grandfather, a Swiss cheesemaker named Fred Ludy, started the families' first cheese factory in Wisconsin in 1919. Gene learned the trade from Tom Ludy, Eric's dad. We're not brothers by birth, but ever since we launched our company in 2015, we've been bonded by the brotherhood of cheese. What makes our products unique? Review: Way better quality than the expensive (but “cheap”) gift bundles from the holiday mailers! - Starting every November my husband drools over the meat and cheese gift basket catalogues like they’re smut magazines. Mentally planning his perfect Christmas present. But there are only so many times you can give $150 worth of 3 different cheddar cheeses and two summer sausage types in a very pretty layout. This year I wanted to up my game and get him not only meat and cheese but QUALITY meat and cheese with interesting flavors. Unfortunately my cheese knowledge is limited to American processed cheese product singles so I turned to the experts: Wisconsiners. And I was not disappointed. I went all out with the ultimate (because what’s better than cheese? More cheese.) So many cheese types that made an amazing charcuterie when paired with some unique sausages I also found on desertcart. The cheeses are larger - almost regular size, not tiny samples. This would make one ginormous charcuterie for a party or you might want to limit to opening a couple at a time. And some of them are meant to eat melts and warm. I’m pleased with the variety - not just cheddar and sharp cheddar and something white, like a lot of gift baskets have. What did husband want for dinner tonight? Melted bliss cheese and some grilled elk sausage. I cannot repeat his praise for it or my review will be deleted by moderators, but let’s just say it was deemed delicious with some adjectives. If you want to give a gift (to someone else or yourself) that’s awesome and also quality look no further! And spring for the big one! It makes the gift that much better …. Or you can first snag out a few and keep them for yourself!

There was a little of everything for us. Sweet, spicy, smokey, mild. We cooked more than our fair share of meals with the different goudas and not one of them disappointed. There was also a nice range of heat among the spicy ones ranging from super hot to black pepper level. Everything got to us way faster than we thought it would and it was even still chilly when we opened the box. We used to live in Wisconsin so it was great being able to get our hands on some real Wisconsin cheese. Can't wait to get our next box!
