I purchased this product for use in my office, and so far it appears to function as advertised. As other reviewers stated, the bottom grips firmly to both smooth and fabric surfaces, the nubs on the top aren't uncomfortable when wearing pants, but I would suggest a cloth cover when wearing shorts, or if you have particularly sensitive skin. The cushion itself seems to be of good quality, however I am only rating 3 stars due to the quality of the included air pump. I purchased this product specifically for the included air pump so I wouldn't have to purchase one separately. The pump did not work, and upon disassembling it realized that the O ring is too large, rendering it useless. Fortunately, my partner had an air compressor in his workshop and was able to inflate it without issue. If anyone is planning to purchase this product specifically for the pump, I would recommend another option.Update: on 3/17/16 I received a replacement air pump from the seller. It is in better condition than the previous pump and appears to work just fine. I changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars due to the positive experience with customer support.

I just got this today and tried to inflate with the hand pump and the needle broke the first time I tried to inflate. Very disappointed.Update, got another needle and it still will not inflate. The pump is working fine but no air will pump into the disc.They sent me a replacement one the next day and that one does work. I use it in the mornings to stand on while I get ready for work and it does great for helping work on balance.

After pumping it up more with the included hand pump, I've used it several times a day for standing on and balancing for the purpose of strengthening a weak MCL. Quality is good. I took off one star for not having any instructions for it's variety of uses. After 2 days of using it 4x/day for 30 seconds each leg, my knee already feels improved and less pain with normal activity.

Does its job, however the pebbly things made so you don't slip are hard on the bottom of the foot unless you have heavy soled shoes. As stated in other reviews, the less air the harder it is to balance.

Honestly, it's too hard to sit on most of the day. I like the way it helps my back feel, but my butt doesn't enjoy the hard surface. I can sit on it for maybe 30 minutes before I have to take a long break.

An excellent product that you can adjust with the pump that comes with the Cushion. I use it for balance exercise standing with both feet on the cushion at once. It is highly effective in strengthening the muscles above the knee.
